It's both a dream and a nightmare.
It's great we're so well looked after. In addition to that, there is a proper cafe, serving free food all day (including bacons). But it can be easy to slip and find yourself stuffing yourself with FAR too much junk.0 -

Cheers. Nearly bought a Race Face Respond Chainset instead, but at the last minute I noticed it weighs around 300g more than the SLX, which is just obscene.
The double+bash I had on the 456 was a nice piece of kit and I'm not going for a particularly flash build on this one (although the SLX is the best looking crank in the 9sp shimano line-up). Went for the triple on this occasion, although I may change it to 24-38 at some point with a SS chain device thingy.
Just gone back though the bikes and had a look at yours sheeps, mine is actually going to be quite similar. X9 gears, SLX chainset, dropper post. All stuff that just works with no fuss and no flashyness.0 -

good sense is good sense. ive been toying with the idea of som eupgrades but im happy with the stuff thats on there, anything else will be a pointless spending excercise.
i do want a green post collar though.0 -
I've ordered one from Superstar for the huge sum of £6. Will see how well it matches.
Also ordered some grey grips with green lockrings from the same place, and some green pedals.
I've actually just put the Orange up for sale, hoping to use the funds to purchase some new wheels. Stock ones look a bit......meh.0 -
are they alex rims and bionicon hubs?
if so, the bionicon hubs are dt swiss and the ones i had were spot on. the alex rims were also spot on, very tough but to be fair although they were good wheels, i still swapped them for some hope hubs and xm819rims but mainly cause i wanted gold hubs on my willow.
im using rovals on my edison and they are the business.0 -

Would have to agree... I really don't like the look of the SLX!0 -

It's ok though because you've been charged for 1 set of each pads, and £250 worth of mobile top-ups, some insurance, some satnavs, a cuddly toy.....0 -

Yes they're the ones. I'd heard the hubs were DT, but never used Alex rims so wasnt sure about them. Was going to replace them with some superstar switch EVO hubs (lime green) and Flow rims (black) because I like a nice solid wheelset.
You not think it'd be worth it then?0 -
