Sticking with my 140mm Recon solo air for the time being, though I may go longer and lighter when funds allow. What are you running? It should be a big change from my rattly aluminium Crush, just hope it lives up to the expectation!

Lots of my stuff arrived today. Eskar seems good, inflated easily and actually is the size it claims to be which is all a good start. Massive crowbar demolishes pallets with ease despite puny arms. Rear mech looks mechy but won't be fitted til the weekend. Gamut dual chain device weighs less than most bashrings for the whole thing but needed a wee tweak to fit on an XTR crank.

Oh and the medium MMMbop frame arrived yesterday and is now half built, joy!

140 rev races, but climbing can be a bit of a pig, as the front likes to lift up (70mm stem). Thinking of lowering it to 120/130mm when funds allow.

  • A new bike carrier. Audi A4 Avant S Line 1.8T ( 160PS) in bright red. Getting remapped tomorrow to 217bhp.

It's just a shame SurfMatt is no longer here to tell me how inferior it is, how it's a triumph of style over substance and how it's not a real driver's car like his blessed Beemer...

    Pair of these:

    http://www.readytoridecycles.co.uk/ht-c ... -355-p.asp

Need another set of pedals, can't complain at £30. HT make the Superstar pedals as you'll probably guess, these are the alu version of the Mag Lites, lighter than a Nano and £13 less to boot. Boring colour tho.
