Cheap seatpost (£11.99 delivered, off of Ebay) for my Kraken to make it fit me better (it's a 20" frame and I have the saddle pushed right forward, so wanted an inline post to replace the laid back OE post).

2 x conti Mountain King II Protection 2.2 Tyres, plus 2 x stan's rim strips.
  • Wanted to get in on the action, I've just ordered a shiny new XT cassette and XT chain. Not from Merlin though, I got my chain reaction on.
  • Just ordered these for the Wife's MTB:

A new lid, had been waiting for the new IXS one but got bored after the date getting put back again, so went for a Feature for £38, with the idea that I'll get the IXS in the spring.

It's a bit of a boring colour so may have to invest in something to brighten it up :D

Is that the grey or the satin black? Can't tell from those pics. I have the satin black (got mine for just under £39 from Koo Bikes), I like the stealth bomber look. I liked the gloss black & green version, but they were sold out.

Well the XTR shifter I ordered didn't turn up, received an e-mail from CRC saying it was out of stock despite saying it was in stock at the time of the order and that my back order has been cancelled due to a change in their policy :? So I've basically been told that rather than keep the order open til it comes back in stock and honouring the original price I paid with a voucher, I've now got to wait for it to come back in stock and pay full price!!

Really not having too much luck with stuff I'm ordering atm, first the SLX shifters I got for converting the Mojo back to 2x10 were broken in the box, by next week I will be on my THIRD Stanton frame and I haven't even ridden the bloody thing yet and now this!

My XT brakes were both showing in stock when I ordered, but the rear was out of stock when my order was processed. They didn't cancel it though. I got the front brake yesterday, and the rears (temporarily) came back in stock yesterday at CRC, so I got that today. The front came in a CRC liveried box, but the rear in a fancy Shimano retail packaging box. The packaging's irrelevant, but my only gripe is that the front has organic resin pads, and the rear has sintered metal pads, I'd rather have both ends the same for the same feel.

Arrived today. The stem on the FF29 is to short for the garmin mount, and the bars taper down too quickly for it to mount properly on there. Solution? This rather stylish up-front style mount. Works very well. So well in fact, I've just put a black one on back-order for the roadie.

Hope to be picking it up Saturday when the C2W voucher comes in. Reduced to clear as they have stopped making them now.

This will be the bike for when it's a bit too iffy for the best bike and not bad enough for the CX commuter. At least that's what I told the CFO.

Oh err.. just realized I posted this in the dark side forum........

This was my first pair of spd pedals and it didn't end well, the resin cage was a bit flexy and popped the bearing cap out every time I unclipped. Hope you have better luck.

The El Guano is missing a saddle after I broke it, the spoon on the singlespeed is a bit too wide for putting lots of road miles in so it's getting swapped onto the EG. The current saddle on the road bike is going onto the singlespeed and this is going onto the roadie thing. Just got some money reimbursed to me by the SU so, umm yeah, I spent it

    Woohoo, the Duster has arrived!

I only ordered it Tues at 10pm, so I'm impressed. Very pleased with it looks lovely and the tubes really are very skinny (top tube approx 26mm dia)

Now do I build it with what I have - or treat myself to so more trinkets?
