2 mech hangers for the Canyon after breaking one at Antur. Expensive, aren't they?0

This afternoon I have ordered one Mavic EX721 rim, One avid 203 clean sweep rotor, one brake hose, a pair of Troy Lee GP gloves and a new (my third) Urge Down-o-Matic helmet.
Not a good day.
Ouch, in so many ways.0 -
Looking back at it now it was kind of funny. When I regained consciousness I remember hearing the marshal shout for a medic because I was having trouble breathing then I heard a welsh voice shout "nah butt, he don't need a medic, he needs some balls. He's only winded butt"
Nothing like a bit of sympathy when you feel like you're dying.
An expensive crash though. Very badly dented rim, bent disc, damaged helmet, torn gloves and a cut brake hose. One other poor bugger went home with a hole in the lowers of his new Fox 40's.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Rockhopper frame from the classifieds to replace my wrecked one on the commuter.0

Hope head doctor and QR seatpost clamp, lizard skins charger lock on grips, spare mech hanger and a royal Turbulence long sleeve top. Got £10 off from CRC too, so not too bad. Also got a set of rebas and a charge spoon saddle waiting for when I finally get home for the first time in 6 weeks.0

Oh, and the LBS contacted me the other day. Apparently Upgrade didn't have any of the orange frame left, so I've gone for Sick Green instead. It's going to look absolutely AWESOME!
Should be able to go pick it up at the weekend.
Oh, I almost forgot. While I was thinking about it, I also ordered a set of these:
X-Fusion Slide 29RL
This way I've got an option for XC races, and an option for general hooning about.
It's been a pretty expensive couple of weeks.0 -
Where and how much were the forks ?
My rockshox on the 29er are of the steel sanction variety and are a tad heavy0 -
Well...
I got a package deal on the Frame, both sets of forks, and the wheels from Upgrade via my LBS
I believe RRP on them is about £330 though.
Wanted them because they're the forks recommended by Kinesis for the FF29 (120mm). Only seen a handful of reviews but I don't think they're particularly light. Bionicon have been using x-fusion for years now, and I've always been dead impressed with the quality.

so 1,900g apparently.
Weight wasn't much of a concern for me on the sus fork though, as if I want to lighten my ride, I can just use the 590g carbon ones
Both are 15mm axle too btw.
Dead excited about this build now.0 -
Coolio, I thikk my rockshox come in closer to 2.5 kg and so with a set of carbon am wheels I reckon I could get beyonce down below 12kg again0
-
Is that one 120mm too then?
If it's lightweight you're after, you can get a 100mm reba from Merlin for under £300. That would weigh 1,564g0 -
I need 120mm otherwise it makes the head angle virtually vertical lol0
