please make a thread on the micro camper thing. I've been thinking of doing something similar. Been lurking around on some of the camper van forums getting ideas etc.

A full days uplift at Antur. My first time on an uplift; I'll probably just be sticking to the blue and maybe look at the red later in the day.

I envy you! I love Antur, it's such a good day's riding! You'll be fine on the blue, everything (and I mean this with all honesty!) is rollable. I can fly down there on my Hardtail, so that says something. The red is nearly all rideable, there is one drop in particular that isn't (I found out by having a OTB moment).

    You'll love it!

I hope so. It all looks OK on video, but then everything seems to.

I'm going on my own so I won't be going daft.

You'll be fine. On the blue, my advice is the first corner (once you've ridden to the start) is a U-turn, keep your pace and momentum up because the next section is amazing at speed, and you'll want to go as fast as you can. Each time I would push myself further and further.
Once you get to the bottom, load it back up and get going again. Enjoy!

Took me a few runs to realise that there's no need to brake on the blue til after the small steps leading to the first corner, just a quick speed check and then rip it round cos the next section is great fun!! Can't wait to go back, wanna hit the red and the easiest black and get sub 4 minutes on the blue! :D Doubt my KOM on the pumptrack will be repeated though!!

really? which one? I mean admittedly I do jump and drop off stuff, but first time down i'm pretty sure I rolled everything.

event the blacks are all doable, the only bit I didn't particularly like was the 3 or 4 bike steps just before the bridge of 'the black'
  • You mean on the red? I'm not sure to be honest, it was a little bit before where the blue joins the red. It's not a big drop, but not one you can roll off. I only attempted teh red once. Next time I know to hit it at more speed, lift the front and away I go. Nerves got the better of me as the drop surprised me a little.
