whats the point of these rubber feet thingys? just something different or is there some benefit to them?
It's meant to be a more natural way for your foot to move whilst running/climbing/sailing etc. I read an article about barefoot running (which these mimic) which showed how we have changed our running technique due to shoes. When we run, we put our heel down first, then the front of the font, whereas barefoot runners (in Africa etc) run with the front of the foot first followed by the heel. It's more efficient apparently.

Wish I could find that article.
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

They'd see you coming in that.

Blingy, in your face and black, just like me. Like being though it needs a lot of rubber to protect the rim.

Just received from Bike-discount another Gatestar Nobby Nic to complete the tyre setup for the 456, now she's fit for xc and dh :D

Also got some new Slx rotors in 180/160mm the old magura one is pretty worn so it needed doing and at £13 quid each the slx's were a bargain!

Now I just need to stay away from the CRC sales...

Unfortunately, mine rounded off before I managed to remove it from the bike, meaning I had to very carefully cut through it in the middle to remove it.

My displeasure with recent SRAM products is rapidly turning to out and out loathing! Can't wait to put these in the bin and replace with an XT setup. SRAM can suck my balls!

Thanks! Why anyone uses hex heads on anything like this is beyond me, thankfully my brakes are fucked anyway (saving for some new ones) and so I hammered a Torx key in there, just managed to get them out.

Ordered and am looking very favourably at some Zee parts.

Pfft what do you need a retaining pin for, I haven't had one in the rear brake for about a year.

Just popped into my LBS and ended up buying some Endura MT500 knee pads. Been looking at pads for a while and these seem perfect for what I need, light, comfy and seem really well made!

Just ordered another red E Thirteen SRS+ guide for the Rocky. Love the one on the Marin and it's about time the old SRS got replaced, it's getting a bit ropey not to mention the amount it weighs.
