Three for me and two for the wife. My BG gloves and mitts are so old the gel insert has gone solid, plus a waterproof pair for the summer. Wife's got some thinnys because they're cheap and ok for using on or off the bike.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

A Nexus 7, because I thought I'd end the year spending money, rather than starting a new one doing it
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

I wish I could do this... except I'm broke for another few days Hopefully though by this time next week I'll have blown ££££ of my student loan on a new frame (and reverb to go with it, it'd be rude not to really)0 -

I don't get my loan til the end of the month, then the majority of it goes on this terms rent luckily I today was payday for my week back at work, so all is not too bad0 -

Rent?!?! My loan minus rent would leave me £300 to live off for the year. Still, it's better than the past few years when I've paid £7-£7.5k rent The loan used to go straight to my parents, part of it went to my rent and the rest they gave me as an "allowance" to live off for the term, it wasn't much but I managed it fine. Most of the holidays are filled with unpaid placements. All the money I earned in my gap year went towards funding this uni course.
Anyway, this year as I'm getting no holidays really, it's all filled with placements, so there's no time to earn any money, and as my rent has gone down moving out of London they've agreed they'll pay the rent themselves I have the loan to myself to live off and do with as I see fit.
As I'm technically "Univeristy of London" I get a 5k loan... What to do with it??? Food, yep, need that stuff, nights out, mostly are in London but predrinks make them cheap(er), transporting myself around for the year, petrol is expensive as is car insurance, kind of helpful though to have when on placements or on call. I know it's not the average student necessity but on this course, trust me, it's a life saver... still, after all this, reckon I've got a few quid to spare.
Now I realise how lucky I am, and that I could give this money straight to the old fogeys, however, at the same time I'd be mad not to turn down this deal. Sure I'll have to pay them back one day when I get a job but for now this course is fairly stressful and fucking intense. Over the next 2 1/2 years I get 8 weeks holiday, like the average working person I guess, exept I'm either on placements or studying the whole time, no dosh... so I've figured I'll get myself a nice new full suss frame while I can, build up from the 456 so that I've got something to myself to use as and when I'm able to. Won't get another chance like this until I get a proper job in the real world so why not Just as a side note, my student debt to the government people is going to be about £45k by the time I graduate, to the parent people about £25k, what does £1k or so on a new frame and stuff really matter right now0 -

The old man has one of those on motability, but Mum drives it as he's wheelchair bound and has various medical problems. Mentioned the remap as they only chose it because of their neighbours one that goes like stink.

One thing if its a 7 speed DSG there's sometimes a problem with transmission judder. VW know about it but don't mention it. Only seems to be the Caddy though.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
