Well, being 3x10 the trance rattles around like crazy so I'm hoping it will make a real difference. Doesn't seem to be much stock of them around at the moment though.0

Personal preference. A lot of people wouldnt undertand spending more then £200 on a bike, seeing as you could get one that works for much less0 -

thats the trick though, a £200 bike really doesnt work, they fall to bits its been tested. and then others perfrom better and better. your comparison doesn't really work.0 -

There will be better attributes on a £500 watch then a £50 watch. They both tell the time the same, just better components, durability and in general - shinier bits.
There will be better attributes on a £1000 XC bike then a £400 XC bike. They both go XC, just better components, durability and in general - shinier bits.0 -
for £5.5k whether its a bike or a watch Im gonna need to know it gives good head before I part with that much0

Yup.
I realise I'm in a fairly small minority here, but I liked the Red Phoenix. Quite light, and really good grip in normal UK conditions. Converted to tubeless pretty good.
Also bought some tractor tyres for the big bike, in sticky dual ply 2.5" flavour:
