DVD arrived at the start of the week, watched it last night and really enjoyed it.

Definitely one to watch at least once more before I offer it out for others to watch.

The interviews were off the charts on ‘unintentional comedy’ scale, with Cav doing his best Rick Bobby ‘I don’t know what to do with my hands’ routine.

I just had a mental image of Cav sprinting for the line and yelling "Mama! I'm going faaaast!"

Brilliant! Santa brought me the DVD and I've just been able to watch it.

On a par with Citizen Kane, I would say.

Bugger, was going to drag the mrs to this after she tricked me into seing that twilight S*%t

I'm a good wife, I went to Twilight S*%t by myself and got the hubby CL for Christmas!
  • I watched it last night and I really enjoyed it. The photography and music were superb, but it was a brilliant insight into the TDF.

Jens Voight is just too cool.

Have to say i'm pretty peeved with the bonus extras disc. Its simply the same interviews that are on the film. Maybe a little longer, but i still think its a bit cheeky, especially with the price.

I thought the extras were pretty good to be honest. Price is never going to be cheap when its a niche cycling film with reasonably high production values.

Really enjoyed the whole thing and will definitely rewatch.

I'm also waiting for the blu-ray. No point making a big thing about it being shot in hd, then watching it in sd!
Anyone know the date, amazon usa still don't know either.

I saw this last night at a local cinema. Utterly brilliant. Particularly liked Cav's "You know that thing in your head that says 'I shouldn't be doing this'? We don't have that." :D

  • According to the Gripped Films website, the Blu-Ray release will be available this coming May.

    Patience my friends, patience.
Let's close our eyes and see what happens

The film was obviously shot in HD. Even in SD the picture quality is exemplary. And I'm pretty fussy about things like that.

Wah... we don't have blu-ray. When's the west end musical version?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.
