so this jacobs ladder, where abouts is it, how long is it, and any more details

that loop is supposed to be a loop of the best descents in ladybower and its less distance than we did the other week

Hmmm....That looks interesting, judging by the elevation profile it was done in a clockwise direction with four big climbs and descents.........

Just a thought, but I'm hoping to do a beginner and intermediate skills course this year (not at the same time) with Chasing Trails up at Dalby.

Would this be something anyone else might be interested in? If we have a ready made group (up to 8 people) we can pretty much pick our own date.

    Hi all
Been following this post for a while. Am a complete novice but really keen to get involved. And would certainly be interested in a beginers course if there is space. Recently started riding on the road, but would love to get away from the smell of fumes.

well that was kinda the idea but it seems that our DH oriented friends would have preferred more gravity assisted sections.

I think that goes for the majority of people who had not ridden the peaks before, hats off to chesley for 'enticing' us all with his initial post 'slow ride for unfit people'

    Now we now our capabilities.........PUFF.....PANT......PUFF.....PANT......''

I'm going to work on a project that reverses gravity for when we have to go uphill and then set it to normal for downhill bits ...D'ya think it would sell? :D

all you need is to be able to make superconductors small enough to fit under a bike frame
its already been shown that there is a reduced gravity field above a superconductor

so if you can make them small enough and cheap enough (power wise) that a few of these under a frame reduces the weight of the bike and rider to a few pounds then away you go

Wouldn;t he only way of powering such a superconductor be by dynamo? Thus creating the need to pedal faster and rendering the whole concept irrelevant...?

No no ches......start with a descent and store the energy created for the uphill.....':D'

thus creating the need for batteries to store the energy and a motor to deliver that energy back to he drivechain.

Hang on, we could call it a MOTORCYCLE! It's genius, why did no-one think of this before....?
