Thanks for coming Matt, it was a good ride... nice pics
delcol - We decided to go to find the trails at the nab - and we found them
Had a run of the red, and that was great, though I felt awfully guilty because there were people there building the trail  .Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -

It was lovely at the top - but very dull down the bottom!
Nice ride lads and thanks for letting me join you, look forward to many more0 -
marin_matt, hope this will become a regular thing
We went to the nab after waiting for a while, it turns out that it's not that far away - took us 30mins to get there.. it's a pretty good addition to a rivi ride, great trails, worth the ride over there. Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. Glad you had a good ride lads .
How muddy is it up at Healy nab?...has it settled down to less greasy mud?
Might give it a whirl in the next couple of weeks as It's not too taxing for my feeble leggies

It was very greasy, mud about an inch deep all the way down, was still very ridable though (if you can ignore your conscience for those who build it lol, but it is there to be ridden....)Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10

I hope you do make it a regular ride so I can meet up with you all rather than spend the day with the inlaws next time I'm at Chorley. Don't really know the area other than a couple of walks around the resevoir but would really like to be shown the rides around there.0

CraigXXL- be regular for sure - due to demand
I think some planning may be in order for the next ride, thinking of incorporating the ace descents off winter hill. - see pics (transmission mast). Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -
can we get a cable car up to the top next time? 8)0

Yeah, it's called the 'Black Seat Uplift Service'
Nothing like a 'straight up warm up'.Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -

Well we did about 12 miles all in on Saturday (don't know exactly), a third of that on rivinton hill, then we went off to Healey Nab. Doesn't sound much but little of it was flat...
Hopefully the lengths of the ride should increase as we get longer days / gain some strength - I know some of the riders have had their bikes in the shed all winter. Now that we are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak and not to please ourselves. ROMANS 15:10 -
that would be me.
i always take the short cut the quick way to the top...
hopefully next time we will make it,www.bearbackbiking.com
