I got the shipping confirmation on Monday and the light arrived on the Friday of the same week. I used it for the first time today - wow it is really bright!

Mine was waiting for me when I got home last night :) Seems a slightly different connector from the other two we have, which is a shame as I wanted a spare battery and charger as much as anything. Tempted to see if I can get a splitter cable and run two at once or fit a red film to the light and use it as a rear - going through batteries like mad on the rear lights.

35 down from 60. Match the bike too! I looked at the ones IP recommended in commuting chat, but they were sold out of the one I wanted to try in my size till march.

    Even cheaper at CRC £24

...with regards charging, I have taken to putting the charger in a metal baking tray in case it overheats or ignites. I am hoping there would be less chance of the flames spreading this way.

 ...this sort of thing really discourages me from picking up these lights!

I know what you mean but any rechargeable lithium battery can overheat and ignite - you regularly hear of phone, laptop and camera batteries from reputable brands doing so. I think it's worth being cautious about it. I am sure that the more expensive lights ship with better quality and safer batteries but that is still no guarantee...

Get yourself an old bidon remove the rubber nozzle and push the cables through from the underside, I have two batteries in mine for really dark or as a backup. I also used a small piece of inner tube around the screw top and nozzle as added water protection.
    That's a good idea - thanks!

I've just found them very good - robust, good seal, easy to drink from - better than your average £3 bottle

Carbon is just the colour of the printing

I love the nozzle, no pulling up on a piece of plastic, taking a drink and then pushing it back down with your hip. Just squeeze and go.

Doesn't have that plastic taste either. Well worth the price.

All Camelbak bottles now gone it would seem.

May be a daft question, but do these have a bite valve like you would bet on a backpack one?

No - a twist-lock one - but nice rubbery feel

Soft rubber though. You will bite through it.

    I know that. Now.
I think I bit through it when reaching for an emergency brake and thought i could hold the bottle with my teeth. I could but to the bottle's detriment.

Recommend? Oh yes. I have since bought another two.

Been watching this camera in my local House of Fraser store since before Christmas when it was £70, looked at it early January and it was £58, but when I looked at it on Wednesday it was only £36 so it sort of had to be bought. :)
