At £11.39 delivered I thought these fairly light (268g) drop bars were worth a punt...http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=2&c=59&p=625&, as I don't really like the polished alloy ones that came with my bike0

One of those bargains that isn't perhaps as great as it sounds though. You get 20 years worth of inner tubes in one go but on that basis, it takes you 10 years to break even on the deal even if otherwise you were paying twice as much. And as you can get tubes in singles for £2.50 in sales it sounds a bit marginal. Besides, I'd lose them at some point over the years. And you miss out on the new graphene inner tubes which are no doubt comingFaster than a tent.......0 -
Last time I bought cheap tubes, 50% of them leaked.0

@RF were you not on this section of the forum when I started commuting? I had more than 50 visits in one year, ffs I had two whilst we were all standing outside the roebuck in RichmondRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Not bike specific, and perhaps a bit warm for cycling any distance but £24.99 for a waterproof, breathable and windproof Isotex 5000 jacket looks decent value.Nobody told me we had a communication problem0

I haven't mounted it on the bike yet. The light itself looks pretty well sealed but what about the battery pack? I can see a couple of places where water could get in. Anyone have any issues with these? Is it worth trying to improve the sealing or put in a plastic bag?0 -

I would recommend further waterproofing. I was a chump and had two lights whose batteries corroded due to a lack of waterproofing! Oops.0 -
FWIW, mine resides in a bidon, together with spare tube, multi-tool, 2x AAA cells, tyre lever & puncture kit.
