Were you using Shimano 105 5701 or 105 5600? They did very differently in the test. 5701 was miles better.- Genesis Croix de Fer

Errr. This would have been (probably) a 5600.What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0 -

Mine was a 5701. I'm with 'prop on this. Chains can't handle the bulging quads.Ribble Audax - FCN 5

Popped a 105 5600 chain a few weeks ago. Bulging quads definitely at fault.0 -
All the shimano chains are made by kmc aren't they?Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Just awaiting delivery from what I have found to be the cheapest site, fair enough I buy minus the VAT as I am outside the EU but I think they are still much cheaper than most other sites.

Oops! Just placed an order before seeing this, but if you are the chap who's been plugging Sportpursuit stuff for a while now then you will have got the benefit of my your referral, as I joined via a link here a couple of weeks back (do let me know if it was you).
I went for 4 Helly Hansen striped T base layers at only £12 each!!!! I bought one a couple of weeks back from Evans for £22 (which I thought was good value) and it did the job beautifully. Having recently bought an Endura Baa Baa merino base layer and found it to be way too hot beneath a jersey and jacket, I discovered these HH ones to be just perfect.
