Good prices on Specialized saddles at Tredz plus 10% BC Discount....

Is the Tredz discount a recent addition?
Are t Tredz and Halfords owned by the same people so I'm guessing it's an extension of the existing deal that's been in place for a while.
Been available for a year or more. You need to hunt for it on the BC website though and you get a one time code by logging in and requested a code on BC. Works on most items inc bikes on sale.

Yep they deffo are, historically it only was an option for Halfords though.

Is the Castelli size guide on page reasonable?
With 41-42" chest thanks to extra insulation/weight gained over the last year, i would need XL or 2XL?

Mrs B has just ordered a few DHB jerseys from Wiggle for £5 a piece

Tried one of these and the reviews are correct, very odd sizing

    These: https://www.wiggle.com/p/dhb-aeron-mens-short-sleeve-jersey-2-0

    Mostly sold out now though

Mrs B is pretty happy with her selection of cheap jerseys.

The long sleeved one is pretty roomy but it's a fairly substantial fabric so she'll be able to wear a couple of layers under it and treat it as almost a light jacket.

She's very pleased with one of the ss ones that has a floral print and even a zipped pocket.

One of the other ss ones is a big snug but not really worth sending back when it only cost a fiver.

Yeah I could return it but would only get £2 back :D

Can't find the thread where I said about having to return the beautiful 3T carbon bars to Wiggle, but I have finally had notification that the refund has been processed, so should see it on my card mid week.

To be absolutely fair, this didn't have that much to do with Wiggle, as it was the courier that took about a week to deliver it back to them.

Merlin have discounts on lots of Castelli clothing, kind of feel this has been the case for months, at mo it includes "black friday" olive Competizione bibs for ~£50.
    https://www.merlincycles.com/castelli-competizione-bib-shorts-ss23-282439.html

I've been able to just fit into my L Endurance and XL Aero bibs this year despite extra weight, decided to go for XL in these along with XL red Free Speed 2 https://www.merlincycles.com/castelli-free-speed-2-race-top-ss22-191156.html for £49.

Not bought any bike clothing this year, hope these fit ok, also first time with a "Kiss" Castelli pad!

Pactimo got an extra 20% off the already pretty hefty sale discounts with code "CHEERS".

I've ordered another pair of the excellent Ascent Vector bibs which work out sub 50 quid, plus one of the mesh aero jerseys to try.

Wiggle refund appeared yesterday, so everything still operating as normal currently with them it would seem - at least to end customers.

@N0bodyOfTheGoat I never got on with the KISS pad, but I know plenty of people rave about it, for me it's the Progetto X2 that is my favourite chamois, but fingers crossed you fall into the opposite camp to me :-)

Speaking of Merlin, they have the Perfetto Ros jacket on there, only in small but the best colour imho, the bright yellow, for only £80, which is nuts.
    https://merlincycles.com/castelli-perfetto-ros-cycling-jacket-aw21-155668.html

This is the lighter jacket, not to be confused with the Alpha Ros, but still excellent with appropriate layering, and one of the very best garments I have ever bought.

Also noticed their included postage is now only on orders over £40, pretty sure that must have gone up quite recently, as thought it was £20 or £30 not that long ago.

@N0bodyOfTheGoat you are responsible for me lightening my wallet, with your mention of the Merlin sale :o
I hope you are proud of yourself! :D

Two SS Castelli base layers bought, 1 pair of sliders as a present for my daughter, can't stand them myself.

And most interestingly, a pair of Fizik Vento Stabilita Carbon shoes.
The colour description interested me: Black/Yellow
But when I saw this, I wasn't that blown away.

Then I realised there were more pics.............

*Then the purchase had to be made.

*I did watch and read a ton of reviews first.

I'll probably sell a couple of pairs of other shoes to fund it.

RRP £375 (!), lots of sizes down to £160, some are £150.
£2 bonus TCB thingy activated, plus 1% should knock another £2.25 off the order (1% of Total order value)
    So I've just saved myself £220 o:)

I have those shoes but not in carbon. They are very comfortable, all day things. Can't justify even that low price what with Xmas around the corner.
    seanoconn - gruagach craic!
  • I noticed Halfords still have their 20% auto discount for 3+ selected items, which at least covers Boardman clothing, which I presume you can then stack your 8% British Cycling discount code on top of.

But main reason for posting was that they now sell replacement heel platforms for the carbon Boardman road shoes at £5.

I picked up some of the Brand X road carbon bars as a filler for the other small items I was picking up cheap. Missed out on the Lifeline mole grips and a Nukeproof BB that sold out while they were in my basket.

You need to read the reviews for most of the things in the sale because the clothing is mostly there because it doesn't fit anyone and the other stuff is likely to break (including one such comment on the carbon bars!).

Yes, but if you read the comments you can figure out how much they are under/oversized. I just bought some Nukeproof trail trousers for £30. Sized up from reading comments and they fit perfectly. Did the same for some carbon road shoes for my daughter that only cost £27.
  • How did you get on with the trousers I'm a 30" waist and was thinking the mediums would be too big.

These seem a bargain for under £100. Most people on line say they come in under 1500g.

If you try and buy them in EURO they are 379. Pity my old Mavic are completely shot.
  • Think they have pulled out of Europe now, thought it was only UK now for Wiggle/ CR

Do you not have any friends/family in the UK who could order it for you, and then courier it across?

I appreciate that adds hassle and cost.

Does look like a bargain, guess you could also order a load of different spares for them at the same time, but the worry with the Prime brand is what happens if C/Wiggle does go under and your wheels "fall apart" during the warranty period.

dhb Dorica Carbon Road Shoe. Lots of comments talk about cleat problems, but my daughter has been fine with them for the last 6 months for racing.

That’s highly unlikely and for £99 who cares! They get good reviews on you tube.

Only 44cm widths left but only £1.99!!

Reviews mention they're quite flexible, but squeezing, twisting, leaning and pushing on the 42s I got doesn't show that much deflection. Not yet fitted to a stem but supported the mid-section for testing.

Already got a spare or I would have thrown one of these in the order too, also just £1.99 - cheaper than a FleaBay find.

I saw these just note they are not measured centre to centre

YMMV, but I ordered 42s, the mounting card on the set I received says they are 42s and they measure up as 42s.
