    Northwave 50% off at Triuk

    Has your Triuk order despatched?
Keeping an eye on this as I've ordered a bike from them.

Their response to email enquiries has been slow to non-existent.

Strange to be having these monster sales when, according to their website, they're too short staffed to answer the phone at present.

A mate of mines just got his new tri bike delivered this morning - he ordered on the 24th. I ordered some kit on the 26th and no updates just yet. I'd guess they're concentrating on getting the big ticket stuff out of the door as quickly as they can?

A different two words... Sports Direct. Triuk are owned by them. Probably not going to go under due to insufficient cash flow but don't expect amazing service. Good discounts though...

Indeed, I didn't appreciate that until recently :-(

I mailed them sometime ago, and had no reply, and of course you can't call and there's no live chat.
I wonder if they have furloughed everyone they can, apart from one poor s0d who has to pack all the boxes!

Frustrating on their website that you can't even cancel an order.

Personally I reckon it will be another 2 weeks minimum.

I have just packaged up an old fluid turbo, a bike storage rack, and a load of bike clothes and bits to send to my brother who lives in Italy with his Swedish gf. They are in proper lockdown over there, only allowed to go out for shopping \ pharmacie visits, and not even for walks etc, so have been struggling for any decent exercise.
UPS person should be coming on Friday, and due to get there, in theory 6 days later.

My order from 25th changed status to packing today so we're getting there.
I emailed a few days ago too and no response but to be expected at the moment.
I've ordered a few sizes so hope their return dept will still be working next week.
Will confirm once arrived and advise of any surplus stock that may be of interest.

Mine has changed from 'Received' to 'Held' - not sure if that is good news, or means they don't have the stock - time will tell!
Let us know how you get on galatzo.

  • I bought a few bits last Thursday, and money has left my account.

Got an email today saying that as my items are not essential my order is in a holding queue.

Surely they should not be taking money until dispatch?

How else is Mike Ashley going to maintain his lifestyle?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Got this too.
"Due to our business being classed as an essential business by the government, we are fulfilling all essential orders first."
"Unfortunately the products you have ordered on this occasion are not classed as within the essential banding"

I've asked them to provide me with a list of Triathlon related products which they sell that the government considers essential.

I feel like all I've done is prop up their bank balance without anything in return.

I got the same email Mailed them back asking to cancel my order and for a refund and the order was cancelled and payment refunded within 10 minutes. Didn't really need the items anyway so was happy to cancel

Interesting to see if they class a bike as an essential order.

Order still status currently saying "received" as it was yesterday...
  • Good luck with anything from a SD owned company.

Utter disgrace of company with some disgusting practices.

Reply below, implies bikes might be priority.
Worth noting while the government has allowed them to stay open, it's Triuk themselves who've decided what items they regards as essential or not.

The essential list from the government guidelines are bikes shop can open to the public, provide sales and repairs on bicycles.

However, because we are staying closed to the public for the welfare of our staff, we have been fulfilling online orders only with minimal staffing.

Therefore, we have put together a priority list to meet with these guidelines.

I can see you have ordered a Jacket, which at this moment does not fit into these categories.

No e-mails for me in junk or otherwise - not that it matters, as due to this thread I know why it is held, but I suppose it would be nice to have the option to ask for a refund.
And as they didn't reply to my e-mail I sent a few days back that was just a query, not confident they will act on it. I'll sit tight, I'm in no hurry.

Oddly the helmet I'd been pondering, which was reduced to £57, has just jumped back to full price at £225:

Lucky escape as I didn't need one and it sounds like it would have arrived in 2021...

I do like a fair bit of Mavic kit, but there helmets have never fitted my noggin, and are generally (or at least historically) have been fairly heavier versus their competitors.
I do like their wheels though, two pairs of Exalith shod hoops.

So they called me today - saying they couldn't fulfil the shoes as they're in a warehouse that is closed. They've refunded it, and the knee warmers I'd bought too. They say they'll call me when they know they can fulfil it but let's be honest, they're not going to be selling £340 shoes for £85 again are they... not impressed.

That being said the person on the end of the phone was lovely and most likely very harassed. Mike Ashley can do one though

They have a bike & some wheels I'm tempted with as well but the company don't inspire me with confidence.

At the thick end of 3K I'm not sure it's worth the risk although I guess if it all went pear shaped I'd have some comeback through my credit card.

Think I might be better waiting until the world (& them) are in a better place.

A week ago today. I'm in no real rush for it but wouldn't mind knowing if it's actually going to be sent out, especially as they've taken my money!

I've a feeling this would be me if I ordered as well.................

Appreciate any updates as I think I'm gonna hang fire for now. Not 100% convinced on the bike or the company if I'm honest so will give me further time to have a look about.
