    At 9 bucks I wouldn`t moan though.

was thinking of trying to set up ghetto tubeless if doable ....we'll see.

I'd be cautious they are fairly old designs and fairly basic.

Haven't collected yet. If they're that gash I might leave it. Reviews looked pretty good.
I had a set once. On hard surfaces they rolled like a tractor tyre; on muddy surfaces they gripped like a road tyre. Cornering was actually ok. Prone to clogging, but (in their defence) only on soft or muddy surfaces.

What do we think of £1k for a Planet X Maratona Ultegra?

    Aye, nice and toasty.
It was meant to be in the bought thread.. Do'h.
If you need the L version (9 - 10. UK size) then they are £15 less 30%, so £10.50 a pair, less BC, gift card and TCB, so likely around £8.50 . Store dependant pickup.

    XL (12-14) and M ( 6-8) are £14 (circa £11.30).

Also, if you like shimano M089's in larger sizes, store dependant, they can be had for £35 less BC et all, but again, store dependant pickup.

The fact that only small sizes are available seems to be the main drawback.

If you fancy taking your chances with some PX stock, they are doing free delivery on orders until midnight on Sunday, instead of what has become the norm for them of £100+ baskets.

Edit: Unsurprisingly, in PX tradition, to offer free delivery at a lower basket threshold they have increased prices since earlier in the week... Typically by ~£5 on items £20-50. So this weekend's "sale" is really only of benefit to those that want/need one or two cheaper items.

Don't get me wrong, I don't expect something for nothing, but hiking prices up by ~£1-5 for items under ~£50 to cover the normal £4.95 postage fee is extracting the urine.

It was £13 on Tuesday night, I ordered one of the Notis Evo in matte black, arrived yesterday, the cradle is not is not the best but I can't complain for the money and the couple of times I'll wear it.

I wore it this morning, it's basically an Evade copy. Wind noise is less than my Specialized Airnet, cooling seemed ok, can't go wrong really!

Trying to decide if I would be seen dead in this modern day material replica of the old 1987 ANC Halfords team top, ~£28.80 in flash sale with BC discount https://www.halfords.com/cycling/cyclin ... ing-jersey

Like that a lot, and would go with my Langster for my current Velodrome exploits, and they have xs in stock, but have managed to stop myself. If it had a full zip (Which I appreciate is not retro), I likely would have gone for it.

    670142b?w=637&h=403

This jersey is now £28 before BC discount, as Halfords have 30% off a range of clothing (plus some other cycling promos), so £25.20 now.

I took a punt at a medium, collected this morning towards the end of my South Downs training ride, literally just tried it on while waiting for kettle to boil. I have the torso of someone more typically a bit ~7cm taller than my 178cm height, ~96.5cm chest, ~86cm waist. It's not a bad fit on me, a tiny bit of slack on my torso compared to my Endura FS260 team jersey, the only thing that may go against it when I wear it tomorrow is the short zip section (which made it awkward to take the jersey off and may cause issue in this heatwave, given I've been unzipping my other tops to my solar plexus when climbing cat hills).

No small size in stock when I looked, but that might have been too restrictive for me.

Just spotted Lidl have a portable pressure washer for £40. I have the Karcher one but it's about 3x more expensive! Ideal for those who live in flats with no hose attachment outside.

I bought a hoselock hand pump portable pressure washer thing for £8 from Argos clearance, tried it last week and gets 99% of the crap off, needs a good wipe over after but works really well!

I was looking at an electric washer but for the price difference I recommend the hoselock hand pump if you can get it at a good price

£800 before using SALE2018 for £10 off clearance item, which I don't know if you can combine with 10% British Cycling membership discount code.

Cracking spec for potentially £710, 105 group including hydraulic brakes.

I was all set to buy a 1x11 hybrid for my commute, but at that price the Vitus is kinda hard to ignore!

I'll see if they still have any left when my CycleScheme voucher arrives.

I bought that there bike a little while back when originally reduced to £800 - through cyclescheme too. It's a cracking bike for the money.

I'd email CRC and ask if they'll honour the discount when you get your voucher, as the deal was due to run out for me but because I had been in contact they extended it for me.

But who in this day and age, when road hydraulic brakes have been around for several years, would choose to buy a cable operated disc brake bike unless it was still a bargain after spending ~£300 on swapping to hydraulics?

Funny that - we hired 2 bikes while in Italy, came with Fulchrums. 3 (out of 4) of the wheels wobbled and had play at the hub. They seem to have some mechanism to tighten the hub with allen key without even removing from the bike. When I first told the mechanics that my wheels were loose, they sorted them instantly, so its obviously a regular occurrence! If they come loose that often/easily then no wonder so many bearings go. Seems like a design flaw to me.

Not bad for 105 group including hydraulic disc, just 59cm frame left and poor geometry details on page.

    https://www.merlincycles.com/eddy-merck ... 04240.html £900
Not bad for carbon frame and Tiagra hydraulic, largest frame looks good for someone up to ~5'10" depending upon inseam/torso proportions.

Does anyone know of any discount codes for Cycle Surgery?

It looks like you can get some cash back via Top Cash Back but as far as I can see they don't do BC discount.

A 10% code would be very handy!

They do BC/Cycling UK 10% if you ask (they gave me a temporary code a while ago) but only on full price stuff so not great. That was online though so maybe in store they apply it more broadly?
