I did find instruction #7 intriguing: "Use rage or paper towel to catch fluid in excess from the chain". Paging Bruce Banner to the maintenance department...
Ah yes, I meant to mention that. Made me laugh! Also made my girlfriend say that was right up my street as I was always taking rage! I think I tell her too much about the idiots who drive around here!

On my instruction, back page, it boasts:
"Quickly and easily cleans bike chains - NO NEED TO DISMOUNT"
I am looking forward to trying this on the club run tomorrow
Yes, something makes me think something was lost in translation with those instructions!

Spoke reflectors and tool kit time!
can't see the "chain cleaning kit" working very well, it looks like the crank will come round and hit it.
Picked one up today as my old Finish Line model's brushes are way past their best. I was pleasantly surprised to see it is actually a Barbieri model, despite the packaging bearing Lidl's usual Crivit branding. The advantage over the non-Lidl version is that the lube comes in a proper bottle rather than a sachet-style bottle which can't be re-sealed. As the regular version sells for £6-10 (RRP £14.99), £3.99 is a bargain.
Stand corrected, it must be my low IQ0 -

Needed some SPD-SL cleats - Halfords are the cheapest and they are on 3 for 2. So I've got 3 pairs coming for £34.

They still seem expensive even at this money. How come the Chinese can't knock these off for a few quid a pair?0 -

Any sign of your glasses yet?
I checked the other day and it says they are out of stock at the supplier still. DX are usually really good, and have most stuff in stock. I have bought loads of lights from them before!0 -

Trouble with Ribble (as I've just been reminded with my latest order) is that they charge to deliver to the Highlands (almost no other bike parts supplier does) and they are slow to dispatch. They could learn a lot from Royles.biz. At least Wiggle ship quickly if you pay. £7.50 extra delivery for a pair of shoes is silly - I can send a t-shirt to the US airmail for less than that.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Well I ordered Tuesday Lunchtime, and got them this morning. Guess that's the benefit* of living in London.

I ordered Tuesday & only got dispatch confirmation today (the last two days they've been trying to find Scotland in an atlas I think). They obviously use Parcel Farce who charge double to deliver to the Highlands and take twice as long to do so. Bizarrely, Royal Mail parcels charge the same as for anywhere in Britain and take one day.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Sorry - pretty sure I've had stuff following day from Ribble so you don't have to live in that London for that!
Here's a goody - 20% off all Kask helmets at Swinnerton. Looks pretty comprehensive too!
http://www.swinnertoncycles.co.uk/kask- ... day#:page2
Kask Mojito at £80 is pretty much a no brainer lid (that sort of sounds wrong ) if it fits; it's a serious bargain at £100. It looks good, is seriously light, nicely made etc etc. I'm almost annoyed at paying £100 for mine a few weeks back but I prefer to buy lids at a shop I can visit so I don't mind really! Anyway - cracking deals.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Yep i'm what you could call a heavy user of Ribble, never a problem with delivery or service and I dont live in London or up tut north.
Discount on chains you say mmm i need a couple of new chainsRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -
Oh wow, check out those Urban Lifestyle Kask helmets with integrated visors. I thought H2 ski helmets with such were pretty OTT but cyclists wearing similar? Got to be worth a fair few SCR points for novelty value...

Damnit. Stop putting up good deals! Just used that to buy some Gore winter gloves and tights plus a couple of tubes. At least I can throw out the winter gloves that have done 2 winters and are now showing the abuse they've had.FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0

I have had two pairs of choakleys and one set are really great (plain white) but the others are a bit more dubious (red and black) both took 4 weeks to arrive.0
