As an aside, and this is an Anti Bargain - but if anyone sees an offer on the Fizik R1 shorts, with an eye watering RRP of £250 - please PM me, would really like to try a pair, but not for anything like that price.

Garmin have just announced a load of new stuff so maybe hang on a bit until they actually come on sale and the older models might start to drop in price a bit.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Well for the cobbles to be precise ;-)

Tried my medium version on this morning, and it's too big - my weight loss has had multiple effects it would seem.

So just ordered a small, and also some rather snazzy black and yellow overshoes, and some pink socks for the missus - all Castelli as it happens.

*This is allegedly a green jersey - however google the model and colour, as I don't think it looks anything like it - it's way more apple green that the above.

The rear camera light looks interesting, shame they don't appear to do an alternative transparent front, enabling it to be a front light as well.

I guess if the camera works independently of the light, there's no reason you couldn't use one on the front alongside a standard front light.

  • Given what they did with their Moon clones, almost certainly made in the same place, I'd not be surprised if this is a Cycliq inside. QUality is going to be the important one. I'll review it as soon as I can

I actually had a good look at their Moon Nebula clone next to the original a week or so ago and, whilst they appear VERY similar to the casual look, they are not in fact the same.

The aluminium is cut in a different direction - you can see vertical grooves on the ALDI version and a smoother surface on the moon with slight horizontal cut marks.

The charging port is different - the rubber is different and a different shape and the charging port is aligned slightly differently.

The LED is different. You can see the layout of dots on the LED strip is different and it is a lighter colour when not illuminated and slightly wider strip.

Not saying ALDI is worse but it is different. So probably not a moon inside and actually a clone.
