Is it sad that I recognised the brick wall behind the bike and knew where that picture was from?
Yes, I know it was sad. FFS! It's a brick wall!Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0 -

Epic is epic. If you ain't been there, you ain't been anywhere!
PS the above is twaddle but it is a really good bike shop and a fine place to purchase a Look. I should know!Faster than a tent.......0 -
I knew it and I've never been there.
Does anyone know if epic do cyclescheme of finance? There's nothing on their website and I'd feel like a gypo ringing up to ask. I'd love a CR1Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame
Voodoo Bizango - 2014 - Dead - Hit by a car
Vitus Sentier VRS - 20170 -
They do do cyclescheme (or certainly did last year) - a small portion of my Look 585 is Cyclescheme
Their admin charge (£100) is a bit high but even Ribble charged me £60. Besides, the quality of the service justified it for me. I test rode a CR1 when I went and it was rather good (but the Look was better - though it should have been for the money!).Faster than a tent.......0 -

Great bike as long as you don't mind everyone thinking it's a Fuji or a Felt....
I'd be quite happy with any of the above to be honest!Saracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Rose are excellent for all things lighting, I got my hub dynamo from them at about 40% cheaper than I could find it in the UK. Excellent service and a free mug.0 -
Purchased after reading about thee on the lights forum:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/t6-waterproof-xml-t6-3-mode-1200-lumen-white-led-bike-light-with-battery-pack-set-82510
Ordered on 12th August delivered 21 days later delivered by International Recorded Delivery.
Basically the same as the Magicshine lights from what I've read:
http://www.magicshinebikelights.co.uk/front-bike-lights/mj-808e-1000-lumen-bike-light.php?ca=82
Advantages:
1. Prompt delivery (forum users have said in the past 6-8 weeks)
2. Powerful! On my first commute test I left it on flashing even at 7.30am light was reflecting back off of road signs etc. Drivers shouting at me to turn that light off even in daylight, but the best one was when I stopped at a set of lights and a woman said to me, 'Is there any need for that?', I responded with, 'Have you seen any other cyclists today?' She didn't answer, she didn't need to.
3. Full power discharge 2 hours 1/2 power over 4 hours
4. 2 hour re-charge
5. Fantastic VALUE FOR MONEY
Disadvantages:
1. You'll need to buy a US to UK main adaptor
2. No CE marking
3. Battery charger apparently should not be left unattended as it can overheat. to avoid this switch off when fully charged.
4. You might need to put a piece of rubber around bars for the O Ring fixing to grip ontoas i've found the lamp will move.Live to ski

You are right about the horrorshow wheels. The frame looks really nice though.
Wierd chainring. Looks to be missing half the teeth.0 -
Yeah, skiptooth. Apparently equiv to 48T
Seems firmly on the hipster bandwagon. But the frame is nice.
Buy bike, add brake, sell wheels, add nearly new handbuilt wheels from existing commuter, put v old wheels back on Langster, sell Langster :?0 -
Cost neutral option. What's not to like?0

I don't, technically, need another bike...
If we're nitpicking then I don't have space for the ones I have already...
And would it be any better than the Langster...
It does seem a bit of a deal though

Is it only me that thinks this is one hell of a deal?

Had I not just bought a pair of new wheels I would be sorely tempted.

What's the advantage/disadvantage of that skiptooth chainring? Or is it all for show?
Don't think any real advantage or disadvantage from what little googling I've done.
