@Cooldad - can you pay for those bits from ebay, and get whichever bleed thingy looks best + that fluid from CRC.

@Richard - Is there any particular way to work out how much air to put in the boost valve thingy on a DHX air shock?

and does anyone have a spare bashguard I can have cheap? (or preferably free )

My advice is play around , sorry but the DHx air is notorious for the need to fettle, i would suggest somehwere just over middle air in the boost and middle compression on the dial and then concentrate on the main chamber.
it really depends on what feel you want on the bike and of course how much you weigh.

    Sorry

    Sorry

I found with DHX5 to set the sag and then iff you blow through the travel, increase the boot valve pressure by 30-50psi at a time until the travel moved less spongy.

I think you should give your bike as a prize. It's starting to look a bit old and shabby anyway.
Then you can buy yourself a new blingy Supraman jobby.

no wonder your quick up 20.7lbs is obscene !!! i do not think i could ever contemplate riding something that light , it would be like having no bike under me.
think i will stick to my 34ilbs of weight !!!!

And the lovely 2.35 tyres :D

I'm up for a Thursday ride Richard, perhaps we can stick to mutually agreeable trails, no sprinting up climbs and no 5ft drops :-)

No probs, i always adhere to the rule that you go as fast as the slowest in the group , that seems to work fairly well.
i have nice loop of leith, that gives some variety and if we have long enough takes us to holmbury ( and beyond of time and my legs permit)

what time you able to ride ? How long you got?

  • it was a nice ride on sunday, thanks for letting me tag along :D

I've got all day within reason, could do with being back by 5ish if that affects start time, but I'll ride up from mine, prob do 3-4 hours, so happy to meet anywhere that suits and do as little or much as you fancy!

I'm not that slow on the downs, just not keen on really steep, techy stuff! Happy to play by ear on the day!
