Will have to see Sunday. Though if it's uplift all day tomorrow then shouldn't be exhausted from the climbing, and this new rig seems to require some work to climb (or maybe it's me more like).

I'm about during the week also.

Will probably only end up with a few hours at Swinley tomorrow. Thel33ter has a few social engagements. Out tonight then picking him up around 10 or11 then he's off again mid afternoon, so probably round 12-3 ish.

Cwmcarn was great yesterday, and the Nomad loved it. One injury with a dislocated shoulder but the guy seems to be okay after getting it popped back in.

Want to get out and get used to the bike more, but many aches today and tired so will give it a miss. Should be out in the week though, and good for next weekend.

    Hello

Had a blast round Swinley today. The section that's shut is small, don't know the name, but it's one section of the run with the wooden bridge. Two fire roads away from the bridge. Not sure if that makes sense to you. They're building new ST there, some of which is open, blasted around it today, great fun if you like tight double switchbacks. It's all flat and small, but very tight, so tricky if you're trying to tank it.

I'm trying to regain my fitness/confidence after a year out of the saddle from injury, but would be up for joining you guys at Swinley the next weekend you're over this way, if you don't mind waiting for a tired old man to catch up.

Been a long time. Was you and the other guy (that I forget the name of now) I think that started me out in Surrey Hills a couple of years back, and then Richard chipped in to show me the good stuff. Those days are what got me addicted :D

Anyway, the wooden bridge bit is Stickler which I'd heard is where they're doing the new bits.

DK yeah yeah, remember that now. Feels a very long time ago. Sounds like you've cranked it up a notch since then. While I've barely ridden. I'm not quite ready for a return to SHs yet, but maybe in a couple of months. Need to find me feet first. But great to be back in the saddle. :D

Most of Stickler is open again now with an extra bit added on the end. They're still working at the end of the trail and extending it some more by the looks of it.

Deer Stalker and Labirynth are both still o[en and they don't seem to be doing any work on them.

Surrey Hills one day, Swinley the other perhaps.

P&S demo weekend also in case anyone's in the market for a lovely Santa Cruz. I can highly recommend them ;)

Do any of you lot ever get away to Surrey Hills or Swinley during the week? I could be on for a day in November but weekends are actually more difficult for me !

DK is currently unemployed and can never turn down a ride.
I am employed unfortunately, but could be tempted. I do feel a bit of man flu coming on.

OK, nice one. Will probably be next month, as despite my current status as dole scum I only have so many leave outs to use and I've used up quite a few lately :) Will post up once I have a reasonable idea of when. Does your man flu tend to come round on Mondays and Fridays by any chance?

Technically I'm employed, by myself. Just I have no contracts on at present and eating into company funds with bike purchases.

But yeah, generally available, though I might be sorted by November which would mean back to weekends generally. Trying to get something that I can work from home at times though, so would make it easier to get off on the bike for a bit.

Think we have some others who have odd work arrangements so are available during the week.

I will be unemployed next Friday but am departing these shores in the 2nd week of November.

On other fronts, I'm going to ride somewhere early Saturday. Was going to be Swinley but as I need to go to Head for the Hills anyway, probably SH.

I'm a bit sick all, week but hopefully will be ok by then. Might have to take it a bit easy though so was thinking something like Swinley.
