Don't think it's going to rain today anyway. Tomorrow has the higher chance now.

Still on for today @ Swinley.

Missed your post, else I'd have replied earlier, there was one in Tunnel Hill, but the weather around here has been and still is awful, so you've not missed out on much.

  • I have coerced a couple of mates who live in Bracknell yet have never ridden Swinley to get out there death trap mountain bikes and join me for a ride. I wont join any BR folk as its going to be painful but i'll be knocking around the non-serious bits of Swinley from 11am.
Just for the craic I may imply Jump Gulley is 'not that bad' as long as you ride it 'fast'.
Might make bikers out of them yet.

Default would be Peaslake but suggestion has been to try something different. Maybe from Dorking end.

How about Dorking at 10 and see if anyone can remember any of Richards bits?

Not sure on remembering the routes though other than know roughly the direction of Ranmore and Leith.

Good ride today. We were after some of the bits we've done on some of Richard's rides and in honour of that we ended up making it an epic Westcott->Ranmore->Peaslake(food)->Pitch->Holmbury->Leith->Westcott.

Only 23 miles. We've done more.

Nice spectacular jump from thel33ter and subsequent crash.

Good one, slightly tired now though.
Shopping for a new helmet for thel33ter. As usual his spectacular stuff costs.

OK I've found a shop that has all colours at reasonable prices, but have put a bid on the Red/Black one so if I win, your colour is chosen.

Hi All! Sorry, been away for ages. Kinda got into riding motorbikes instead of mtb's, for a bit.

Anyway, anything planned for next Saturday? I need to get back into cycling again as I've become a blob.

    Thanks,

    T

How does SH compare to Swinley?

About a million times bigger. More riding needed (longer distances between bits, hills much bigger etc) but some amazing and varied trails.
Everything from fast singletrack, quite technical stuff, some seriouisly scary bits.

Rather good actually. Swinley is fun, SH is more real.
