I tried turbo + COD4 once. Couldn't keep a steady cadence at all. Every time I tried to run on the game, my legs moved faster on the pedals. Weird.

I haven't been able to play it since my bro bought it as I've got a fractured scaphoid so can't move my thumb as I'm in a cast lol.

Was just deduction....looked like a gun sight on the TV and there is a green ring of light below the TV so presumably an XBOX....Plus my wife was sitting playing MW2 while I was on my lappy...

Which turbo is that.....I can make out Cycleops....is it the fluid or magneto?

I'm looking to get either the fluid 2 of the Kurt kinetic road machine but not sure which?

If not on the turbo the rollers fit the same space.

Girlfriend provides snacks, water and general cheering - during both turbo sessions and Call of Duty 4
  • You mean the missus will share the same room as you when riding the turbo!?

I'm left in lonely isolation
  • Is it possible for you guys to share the location of the cave in which you found your cycle loving, call of duty playing females hiding in?
    Road: Felt AR0, Di2
    Touring/commute: Dolan Multricross
TT: PX Exocet Sold because it was like a sail in the wind (sh*t)

damoando, that's scary!. Swap bikes and it looks almost exactly like my turbo-shed  Except, that it looks like your shed/garage has lights so I award myself one more grim point by having no lights in the shed and having to rely on camping lamps/headtorches and the dim glow of a laptop when I remember to charge it enough to watch videos at the same time... :?

AND I have to walk the full length of the garden to get to this shed... No wonder I usually just go out at work lunchtimes in the rain instead...

Note the following useful aids to indoor training:
    - motivational stuff 1 - rear view of my mate on his bike (spent many a happy hour grovelling with this view on the road)
    - motivational stuff 2 - old sportif numbers and picture of me "enjoying" the Col du Galibier to remind me that an hour in the garage is nothing in comparison to 9 hours in the saddle
    - motivational stuff 3 - "Overcoming" on Doovde
    - spirit level - to keep me level headed when I start fantasising about winning a race next season
    - hand saw - for use in emergency only when motivation is lacking

  • I went down to my dungeon to take a photo of the trainer, and realised I'd completely forgotten about this guy:

    rower.jpg

He was still rowing obediently, so I'll give him a gimp mask as a reward.
