My fixed gear bike (pic in sig) is apparently a BSO (Unipack), but I love it!*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
*C. Late 1950's Fixed Gear
*1940 Raleigh Dawn Tourist with rod brakes0 -

Wow, good effort Andy!
Won't be too much pedal kickbak with that pivot lol.0 -
an upside down version of commencal successful contact system?I like bikes and stuff0 -
ah , the old rhino ripcurl
the last word in perfect engineering design
sorry no pics of my own , sure they'll come thick and fast tho0 -
Oh my god, MY EYES, MY EYES!!!! *reaches for bottle of bleach*
Before I do that though, I give you....
The Boss Stealth

I also present to you.......
whatever the hell this is.
Loving the fox sticker though, it at least trebles the value of the bike.

Look at this hardtail delight:
Let's use a baseball bat for a downtube and the silliest spoke pattern possible!0 -
Pretty bad I reckon...0 -
Always thought these are the most horribly ugly bikes ever

Another classic0 -
RealMan
i agree but the quake looks better than the other marin models (and whyte) because it looks llike it will take a beating.

Re: the Marins, the quad link is an actual technological improvement upon earlier models so that maybe negates the ugliness factor?0

I thought the Marin Alchemist was the worst of the Marin's:
So bad they dropped it!0 -
I think maybe SS needs to define what a BSO is
Correct me if I am wrong; but I am pretty sure you don't find fox shocks and forks on BSOs :?0 -
Bicyle Shaped Object lol.
Is a term used to describe very cheap bikes (and was recently on Watchdog).
Now has turned into an ugly bike thread!0 -
Toss up between this and my LaPierre, chose the Lappy in the end.0 -

My point exactly.0 -
this thing is just as bad as the others:
Also I quite like the hard as nails look of the Marin long travel bikes but the XC ones are a bit weird0 -
Main pivot is just to the right of the pedal.0

Aye, but it needs another one as the bottom half of the seat tube is connected to the shock. Or do I have my physics wrong again (I struggle when there are more than 10 atoms )0 -
Lol, it is just like an Orange 5, but with a higher pivot!
The short stub is just to put the rear mech on and is not connected to the swing arm.0 -

Ah, ok. It looked like was connected to me.0 -

Go on, which car company made that abomination?! All the hallmarks of one lol.0 -
^^Audi, isn't it?
The marin's arent BSO's, they ARE bicycles :roll:0 -
Does look like an Audi effort!
Designer wants shooting. Great place for a big feck off weld, right in the middle of the downtube. Seat tube hung off what can only be described as a spiders web, and probably as flexy too. And the wheels?0 -
not Holden is it?0
