I'll be away, working for 11 days just prior to the ride.
So, I'll come home and go straight to Alderly Edge!
If I'm lucky (unlucky  ) I'll have access to an excercise bike and I'll give the Tabata Intervals a go!
I think I'll bring a sick bag.... For the top of the climbs :shock:Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Nice one! Be good to meet you!0
-
There's a few people from work hopefully coming along too, this could be a good turn out!0
-

Nah, not my Royal Mail issue in Anfield red this time. I'll use my cheap and nasty "Lance EPO fuelled bought by nobody with a right idea would buy anything other than Campag shod Italian (really Taiwanese) framed marketing shite" Trek, If it's dry of course0 -
Super.
I don't know whether to go with the Compact on the Zipps or the Standard on the Open Pros...
I may feel a change of brake pads coming on and using the Open Pros on the Look!0 -
Mmmmm, Zipp's in this wind, up them there 'ills lad?! Tha must be mad!0
-
Would a 10am start be ok for everyone?0
-
Where would the meeting place be?0
-
10am's good for me...
freehub, somewhere back in the threads, I believe it states Alderly Edge station - village side! That's from memory, though... Hopefully someone will confirm this :roll:Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
Ah yea thanks for that I remember coming across it now, I had a scan through but did not see it just now. I'll be there if I'm in Manchester.0
-
Weather permitting - count me in. You also posting this on the club website? I'm sure lots of the gang would be keen to join!0
-
Hopper1, that's right...
Colin, the club have their own ride on a sunday morning and I don't want to tread on their toes...0 -
-
I've just noticed the thread.... making no promises.. but if I am there..
the mapmyride route is refusing to load for me.. but I know the climbs well enough anyway0 -
Did Holmes Chap - Mow Cop - Lask Edge - Wincle - Holmes Chap today.
I think I'm going to do it on the compact a week sunday, managed it all but it was, erm, interesting.

Winter training rides haven't started yet and this won't conflict with the normal Sunday run which is (how shall I put it?) a touch leisurely. Put it on the website. I'm sure you'll get lots of interest.0 -
I do feel a little embarrassed, it's just a little social ride
I will mention it.
If anyone has a better way then mine to get from Alderley Edge to Mow Cop, let me know.
I know a way that involves less main roads but it's about 10 miles longer and I'm mindful to keep this ride suitable for everyone...0 -

Doh!
Offence has been caused!
There is a fairly big club ride that morning (The 3 loops). :oops:0 -
City aren't playing so I should be ok to come along.
Just back from holidays in France - cycled most days, usually 4km to pick up pain au chocolat from the Boulangerie. I've put on 4kg so Mow Cop may be a challenge!0 -
Did you have a good time?
Weather has been rubbish here...
Kids back to school this week so you should finally get some peace and quiet!0 -
Think I will try to make this too (weather permitting), if only to finally meet popette! Will try not to knacker my wheels on the way to the start this time... :roll:0

My fault. Sorry. Nobody appears to have publicised that ride!0 -

Welsh Row/Nursery Lane/Sossmoss Lane has been closed for ages now. They're buliding some kind of bypass. Chorley Hall lane is the alternate route...0
