Seriously huge crash at the finish when Koldo Fernandez took out a Vacansoleil rider (Cooke, I think). Mass pileup with a load of riders going down. Sebastien Turgot's bike is in bits. Kinda hard to figure out who else went down... but there were a lot.
Looks to me like Cooke leant on Fernandez knocking him over?

Columbia must be trying to get EBH in there for the overall.0

I think they both leant into each other. Cooke went right, Fernandez went left.
Gorik Gardeyn must be married to a podium girl, too. He was sitting on the floor after the crash, and there was a podium girl fussing over him in a bit of a state... Fernandez came over to see how he was and she looked like she was going to lamp him0 -
Fernandez was all over the place in the closing metres but you can't blame him for the crash, Cooke rides into him as well and the result is a big crash. Sometimes riders can jostle like this without incident.0

Koldo Fernandez: Euskatel's sprint ace impersonator.
Went like a drunk on a unicycle, today.
I'd watch out for a visit from the Lotto lad's missus, if I were him."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Thanks for the link. Pretty odd to see that they crashed like that.
Boonen looks great in his National kit and must be pretty annoyed that the young guns are out-gunning him.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Baden Cooke leans into Fernandez as much as Fernandez does to him..........both at fault for me.Gasping - but somehow still alive !0 -

Apparently she was his wife.
Though if she was a podium girl, not sure how he ever met her
Anyhoo, kudos to her for doing the whole Tammy Wynette thing.0 -
According to Anthony McCrossan on Twitter the Eneco Tour is free on cycling tv.
I know it's not ideal but you do get commentary in English (and I speak French so it's merely a preference for me) and apparently live chat0 -

Current breakaway consists of De Kort, Roy, Kangert, Hayman, Van Den Broeck, Fischer, Oss, Hoj, Amador, De Jongh et Drujon.0 -
That last group didn't get far. EBH is now on the move... in a group with Tjallingii, Weylandt, Hoj, Zeits and 5 others. 45 seconds with 40 km to go.0

Awh! B*gg*r
I had a hunch that in this coming Vuelta, Klodi would finally come out of his shell and show us what he can do.
It all fitted, didn't spend himself too much in the Tdf, soft pedal his way through Eneco, then whallop! A GT win before he is too old.
Too bad.
Is Vino up to a GT? I know he has had some results now and has done well in the Asian Championships (1st TT, 2ns Road Race). It is still a tall order.0 -
Posthuma, Flecha and Greg van A bridge across to the break, but the peloton are right on them. Hoj and Weylandt attack from the front. 24 km to go.0
-
Woah, the bunch has totally blown apart. Riders everywhere at the moment. Rabobank seem to have the most men around the front of the race.0
-
15 km left. Posthuma has attacked solo and has a 12 second gap. Flecha, Nuyens and Langeveld are all in the group behind, along with EBH and about 10 others.0
-
EBH gets across to Posthuma, Tjallingii is on his wheel. Two Rabos, one Columbia.
Behind, the peloton has regrouped. It could still be a bunch sprint, with 9 km to go.
Now Nuyens appears from somewhere and attacks. Rabos everywhere!0 -
Bless EBH and his lack of knowledge about cycling. He tries to win everything. Even the Eneco!Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

Farr out!
Is this as hilly as it gets?___________________

Stage 4 looks like the only place it could be won other than the TT on the last day:

I suspect EBH is gonna win the TT. On a unicycle, probably.
Blindfold.

According to that nice Susan lady, over on Cyclingnews, Kloden has not broken his wrist, but Astana have sent him to hospital to check....."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0
