Where are my stabilisers?

Ok, bored of riding on my own now, not getting any fitter because I have nobody to push me, time for action!

I live in West Wales and usually travel to trail centres in South Wales, but I don't mind travelling further as long as it's planned in advance, I'll get there.

I'm really bad uphill so, if anyone wants to meet up for a ride, they'll have to be patient on the up's

I'm up for a ride at Cwmcarn sometime if you like? I'm not very fit, but I did the Twrch trail a while back (not all of it with my feet on the pedals ). So, if you don't mind riding with someone a bit slow let me know or PM me.

I've been riding seriously for about three years and fell off every time I went out to start with, now I just fall off once a week!

Not as fit as I would like to be, but that's winter for ya!

I'm in Hessle which is near Hull at the moment. It a bit flat around here but when you get out to the wolds it can be a nice ride round, nothing too massively steep! I used to ride with a local group quite often but they're all men which wasn't a problem just they were quicker as usual and now I ride with my other half who is of the mad DH and killer XC route nutter variety. He has often ended up pushing me up hills when my legs have failed :oops:

As well as the Hull area i'm also in Leeds most weekends as thats were the other half currenlty lives, so I can easliy acess North York Moors and the Peak District too.

I ride comfortably at red level, and can attempt blacks and done a bit of DH too (Cwmcarn, Moelfre, Wharncliffe, Cannock, Innerleithen, Morzine, Les Gets), but current level is dramatically dropped as I need to rebuild my confidence and get fit again.

Anyone fancy meeting up for a ride in the Yorkshire area give us a shout

Hi sandybean, that'd be cool! However, can't make this Sunday as i'm at a Christening.

I think you've ridden with the group that I used to go along with being Stu, Ian and co from the Hull and Surrounding Area posts? I haven't been out with them for ages for various reasons! Be good to catch up with them all at some point. Also it doesn't look like i'll be commuting over to Leeds for much longer as my Chap and I have hopefully found a house together over in Hull way. Will have to still and try and hook up though Just give us a shout.

Hello!

I'm based just between Guildford and Woking, I normally ride with my OH and our mates but I'd love to find some female riding buddies to go out with, or come join us.

We ride the Surrey Hills, Tunnel Hill on the Aldershot Ranges (which is 5 min from my house), and I'm easily driving distance to Swinley. I'm still learning so I do take it pretty easy.

i'm not that fit on the ups but can get up most hills at a decent pace. I enjoy technical xc trails best.

Hey there Polarcherry (and other 'locals'),

We're based in South West Sheffield, within 5 mins ride of Totley Moor & Blacka Moor
My OH is fairly keen to meet others to ride with - especially as she's been talking about trying to get a regular mid-week evening ride in to improve her fitness & skills. (anyone would think my motivation for an early evening ride was somewhat lacking.... :oops: )

I'm from north London, but my friend that I ride with lives 2 mins from Ash ranges and we'd be up for coming out with you. I only got my bike a couple of weeks ago and have only been out a couple of times, so I'm pretty slow - my friend is a bit faster than me.

Also if anyone else is interested we'd happily go out in the Surrey/Hants/Berks area and also Herts.

Hiya i'm in Yorkshire and would love to go out with some other ladies as I normally ride with my OH and he's sooo much faster than me :oops:

I'm Leeds based but frequently travel to the Dales, Wolds, Dalby, Pennines, been to Gisburn and Lee Quarry. I can ride red grade trails fine, used to be more confident to do some of the more loony stuff but I had a break from riding due to illness and it's been a gradual process of building back up again.
