He's best of the rest, but the rest are way behind the top two.

    Chuffed for Wiggo.

WTF is with Liquigas? Why no help from Glen Close and Kreuziger for Nibali. Assholes.

Bit of an anti-climax stage for me. All that hype about this stage was going to seperate the men from the boys, but when it came to the crunch, nobody in the top six wanted to gamble on an all-out effort for GC gain. They simply defended... :?

Just as the leading three in GC went round the last corner Contador said something to LA and gesticulated rather firmly. Any ideas what that might have been about?

Andy - strongest rider on the day - brilliant attacks - great to watch - congrats to Brad for 4th overall.

Andy showed again, that he can match Bert - the 2 best riders in the world.

Can you imagine how much willpower it must have taken to wait this long to do it?

Maybe. Kreuziger did help him lower down the climb. Towards the top i dont think that it would have made a difference to the overall. Kreuziger did jump up a few places to 9th with that ride.

Any doubts anyone may have had about Lance's ability to ride with the best of them must surely have been put to bed today!!!

I have to disagree. The best of them are Andy who was waiting for Frank and Bertie who was waiting for Lance.

Both are a class above everyone else and could have left the rest of the big boys for dead.

Agreed - Andy and Alberto were head and shoulders above the rest - they could have done more.

Contador looked like he was suffering in the final few kilometres - fair play to him. Lance performed well for a 37 year old.
