I'll let MG come and post something to remind us that this means nothing really.

Cheers, Google tells me he was there with Fothen and Wegmann... they had a nice session of training then Wegmann went back to his adopted home of - waaaaait for it - Freiburg

Versus is going to go commercial free starting at the bottom of the Col du Firstplan. They've done this for every stage's "main" mountain they've hit so far - really cool. Are they doing this in the UK too?

Eurosport barely has any adverts full-stop, and the short breaks they do have are always at the beginning of the coverage. ITV is much worse.

Is this true? Ligget says Haussler won the Australia championship at age 12!

He grew up in Australia, and has dual nationality. Gina ride for Australia from next year.

Didnt Garmin train there before the tour last year??

Lots of riders train there. It's 1800 metres above sea level and has good roads and lots of hotels. A lot of Italians base themselves in Livigno too, which is just over the Bernina Pass.

But, Ferrari bases himself there so a lot of riders who are training there are doing so under his guidance. That raises suspicions.

    ahem, back to the race...

the letour.fr tracker has shown cavendish alone out the back, no time gap given, for ages now.

is this true? or is it like this morning, when it had levi in virtual yellow for the first 80k?

It's that he's the only one they've confirmed is out the back, they had Boonen on his own earlier 'cos he was the only one they could confirm

avoidingmyphd: Cavendish will have several riders with him, no doubt ferrying warm tea. I wouldn't be surprised if Bernard Eisel was forced to hold an umbrella to keep Cavendish dry

Isn't that where your arshole goes? In the back!? (Kidding - just a light response to so many other threads this week).

I'm pretty sure he's not on his own. In fact - the entire peleton is not in one group as the tracker shows.

The letour.fr tciker is reliable on time gaps and breakaway groups but often has the number of people in the peloton wrong, sometimes quite largely.

Brice Feillu is at 4.26 back on the overall and the yellow jersey group is losing a lot of time. Could be close come the end if Ag2r dont step on the gas. Am listening to it on the radio and they reckon there are 100 riders in the main group. If true, is it possible that Hushovd is still in there somewhere?

Of course. Dr Ferrari doesn't boast of his clients these days, he's a bit more discrete.

Sadly our sport is in a mess to the point of visiting the same town in Switzerland can raise suspicion, or at least get a few of us forum members thinking the worst.

But excuse my cynicism, too many times riders have suddenly burst onto the scene only to get rumbled in due course.

Let's hope Ferrari's just offering internet coaching packages these days, eh?

Looks like Haussler is going to bag himself a win - his lead is now 8mins.

Haussler rode for Gerolsteiner before and didn't perform very well yet we know what would have been available to him there is he wanted it...

Just driving a Ferrari is enough to get a some forum posters suspicious, but hey if you think HH is on the juice why dont you come out and say so ?
