To summarise it would seem that:

Steel Hardtails generally fall into cool. Cotic Soul, Orange P7, old Konas getting the most nods I think.

    Full sussers generally uncool.

    Giant/Trek/Spesh uncool.

That man with the Yeti 575 - so uncool! It couldn't be more Audi/BMW if it tried!

Monster full sussers are cool, especially Marins with white components.

so whats cool so far ???? im confused !

    Basically all bikes are cool.

But we can't have a proper cool wall without either a voting system, or a tall bloke with curly hair who smokes too much and likes to offend lorry drivers to decide what goes on there.

Or, we could use the Top Gear cool-test and ask what bike Kristin Scott Thomas would be happy riding down the red carpet on at a film premiere?

    Obviously she'd choose a Klein 8)

ANY Cove really, for me the coolest make (Lapierre and Evil are also pretty dam icey at the moment), lurid colours, rude names, rare, handmade, leftfield choice.
  • This is the coolest bike ever in my opinion, it is the very reason for my existence, the end goal of my aspirations !!!!! 4975_220172280505_889620505_7426679_6621687_n.jpg
  • And yes kristen would think im a tool for having a metal bar from my rear caliper to the frame but when i told her it was dope her knickers would be wet !!!!

As expected, with 2 mainstream big brand bikes I`m distinctly uncool, though my old school 531 framed road bike might qualify......if I turned it into a courier style fixie.....

Cotic Soul is an easy contender for the cool wall.Just having thae name "Soul" is somehow so right.

To be cool I reckon the more niche the better.

Now this is an interesting one,the Trek 69er,a distinctly niche bike by a mainstream brand, cool or not?
    2006 Giant XTC
    2010 Giant Defy Advanced
    2016 Boardman Pro 29er
    2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4
    2017 Canondale Supersix Evo

MODS!!!! ^ spot the really good idea

please can we have a dynamic thread type thing where anyone can submit a picture of a bike for consideration as an addition to the cool wall. Each bike gets a separate thread and is voted /commented on and generally drooled over or abused. If the bike gets eniough votes, the picture and a link to the vote thread is added to a central coolwall sticky automajically.

No need for clarkson, I think we can magae this without him (thank heaven  )
Everything in moderation ... except beer
Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

I'm going to say something controversial (sp?) here.

    Dons flameproof coat.

I don't really rate the Meta 5 (Gasp)

I had one for a test and it just felt cheap, the welds were all thin and it just felt dead. Didn't seem to have much spring in its step if you know what I mean.

I was expecting a superbike from all the reviews but it left me disappointed.

I'm glad ive got that off my chest, its been bugging me for a while. Thanks.

Could easily go in the Ugly bikes thread.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

Or the 'totally unnessesary and annoying looking front end' bike thead... is there one for that?

I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.
  • Ok, I reckon...

All Turners, the Ventana full sus tandem, and although I'm not sure my Orange Five is cool, you have to admit the Blood is seriously cool. The Five is awesome, and I'd have another, which probably says something about my sense of coolness... just bought a Paramo for biking, so might have no credibilty left in the coolness stakes!

Treks never were & never will be cool.

All Santa Cruz, v10 is cool, but maybe too flashy for super cool.

So I recon this has gotta be in with a shot:
