If we're being picky (and we are!) then you can see that the front and rear wheel aren't in line with each other. I need one of those funky stands some of you have...2010 Trek 1.5 Road - swissstop green, conti GP4000S

Just back from Italy where I picked up my Passoni Top Evolution Christened it at the Ghisallo and onto Coppis graveside then Alpe D'Huez... What a great bike and understated looks...http://www.flickr.com/photos/empidog/4985539369/[/img]0

If it's not a stupid question... What's the stand thing that's supporting the bike in this picture?
At the moment my road bike leans against the saddle of my hybrid and the plastic basket of my (4 year old) daughter's bike (which both lean on my wife's hybrid.
Something a bit more suitable would be nice.2010 Trek 1.5 Road - swissstop green, conti GP4000S

They used to be called the "Utlimate Rakk", but Ultimate seems to have been rebranded as Feedback in the UK. Anyway, they come highly recommended, and can be bought at:

It does look very nice but at 40 quid it's going lower down my wish list. I feel i've failed the OCD thread
(since my light is on order, top of the list is a top with pockets on the back then winter gloves and a jacket).
There's a similar thing for half the price further down the chainreaction page. Or a wall mounted two arm thing to support the top tube (and doubles as a work stand) for under 20 from edinburgh cycles.2010 Trek 1.5 Road - swissstop green, conti GP4000S

A very nice garage door at that!0

Right - best give this one a go then...
Stock at the moment, but new tyres are on order.
Also, it takes a long time to spin the pedals to try and get the valve in the right position at the same time as the crank!!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -
Wow.
You get top marks indeed for the effort to get the pedals and valve lined up!!
Bike looks really smart too.0 -
Awesome! Thanks Nap!
Yep, very pleased with her - just need those tyres to arrive, as I've no desire to slide down the banking!!
May switch the saddle onto my road bike when it gets here, as I've been meaning to try an Aliante and I've got a white Arione spare to put onto Aggie.

Sorry but the off angle skirting board spoils it, maybe if it had matched the top tube0

Very nice Tom!!!
You must be living near a track down there now then? Bit of an improvement from that pink thing you were rocking in PP!0 -
Cheers Joel!
Yeah, was an offer too good to be true - 6000 series aluminium versus 20+ yera old steel - hmm... Think this should be a tad stiffer!
There are two international standard indoor velodromes in Melbourne, and the one us mere mortals can use is the Joe Ciavola Velodrome at Darebin - about a half hour drive away.
Joined a club, got my licence, just need the tyres to arrive so I can actually get on the banking now!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -
Right here's my first atempt at this, no white background though.
Chain on big ring - check
Cranks in correct position - check
Tyre valves lined up - check
Stem flipped down - check
I know it's still got lights on but, they are colour co-ordinated. Any bonus points for that?2019 Ribble CGR SL

Yep. That's the purpose of this thread....0

what difference would changing the pedals and removing the "dork disc" make?

This is the Obsessive Compulsive Poser thread. It's snobbery at it's highest...
It's all about the aesthetic.
Your bike could be a Storck Fascenario 0.6 with Di2 and RZR wheels but if it had a dork disc and those pedals, it would still fail0 -

All OCPers,
I know it's not a white background etc. etc. but how do I line up these pedals?

If a white permanent background (i.e. garage door) is not available, would a white bed sheet suffice?**************************************************
