No. Well, no. I meant there's tart and there's Rapha...

I mean it's not really tart is it - doesn't fall into the Euro Tart category, which for me is the epitomy of true tartiness.

To me Rapha just screams "I'm a dentisy/banker/surgeon"

I do want one of their fixed shirts though!

So Siralun rides a Prince, a Valverde Prince no less, Christ he's even got the same shoes as me, and an Edge 705! Clearly the Man knows nothing of tarting though - that Garmin kit does not work with a Prince. Black bartape too, Come on Siralun, sort it out!

    Just seen this as well:
Sir Alan's 'Prince of Spain', which he bought for his Florida home, is set up for the fast, hill-less cycle paths beside the sea near his home north of Miami Beach.

It comes with a massive 59-tooth chainring at the front, which means that on the flat Sir Alan is swift, though he slows markedly whenever there is a hill and has to come out of the saddle to pedal hard.

Yeh I saw that yesterday but being such a nice bloke I didn't post - tee hee jash rides an old mans bike, when does the Garmin kit arrive :lol::lol:
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Jash, he clearly doesn't give a...well, anything, about matching kit to bike. And surely he's at least demonstrating good taste in the choice of his bike, if not what he wears on it? I imagine the 59-tooth ring line is a journalistic cockup.

True. Perhaps he's heard of you, decided 'I can't match that guy's sense of style, so I'll go the other way'.
"When I ask what purpose is served by his Pinarello's fancy barley twist front forks, his answer is damning: 'Marketing. It is all nonsense really.'" (They don't seem to have noticed the stays!) I looked it up, it's supposed to be stiffer and more comfortable...do they work?

Ooooh he's got the same orange edge as I have. My bike, when it arrives (it may have) is orange, whichis why I got that edge.

I have to say, Jash's pinarello is a thing of beauty. Siralun's one isn't.

Black socks are just wrong, as are saddles . I understand black bar tape but if I had his money I'd just change it whenever it started to look grubby. And what is that Pringle thing going on with the kit? Are you supposed to have a round of golf afterwards?

Well I dunno - is the bike stiff yet comfy? Out of all the ones I test rode was it the one that felt best? Yes, oh yes. It is unbelievably stiff yet I can sit on if for 6-8 hours without discomfort*

*and by this I mean without the bike causing discomfort. The fact that my legs often feel like they're about to fall off and my lungs are mounting an escape bid via my nose is rarely comfy, but that's exertions fault and not Il Principe's. :D
