    thanks for posting this link
    A couple of small comments
    - the first part of the profile looks pretty steep compared to the rest, registering c. 9% for the first 400m. Maybe that's right and I just don't notice as I'm fresh, but I thought the steepest bit was just before the first hairpin.
Yes, the profile from my Garmin data shows a much more constant gradient.

There's no way Box Hill has anything steeper than 5-6% on it. I tackled it on Sunday and the gradient never gets anywhere near the 9% suggested elsewhere - my heart and legs could tell you that. I'd say it varies from 4% to 6% on the short trip to the top.

it's average if about 6% so I would be surprised if it didn't go over that in some places, mainly the bends (taken the quick way) and after the last right turn it steepens a bit compared to the rest of the hill.

Has everyone given up trying a PB for 2009?

I see at some point someone's decided you're WLondoner and not NWLondoner!
I'd be very surprised if there were any efforts to set PBs this time of year.

I've got one more try this year, but that's more to find how my 5 minute power is, but I don't see much hope of getting close to the time. I'd have to get insanely lucky with the conditions.
