Biiiiiig changes after the Tour de Romandie. FJS, our leader since the third race of the season (Eroica) had a bit of a blip, scoring only 27 points compared to andyp's 65.

As such, FJS's 12 lead has now turned into a 26 point deficit. Andyp, the overall winner of PTP '07, is now the man to beat. However, we now move on to Grand Tour season, where there are more points on offer - 85 for picking the overall winner and 10 points per stage winner. It's still all to play for.

Paciencia, Victor, my man, all good things come to those who wait!

It was a long Tour de France, especially in the afx team hotel - 39th, wtf, I won last year! - but in the end, there was actually very little change at the top of the PTP GC.

andyp still leads FJS, although his lead was cut by 3 (count 'em 3) points. scwxx77 still in 3rd, Kléber still in 4th, graham56 and thomasmc swap places for 5th and 6th.

I have too admit I rode defensively to maintain my position on GC after i got dropped at the start..

bit negative in hindsight should have taken a few risks...

Overall scores after the Clásica San Sebastián

No change to the top 20. See above. The only person to score anything was Timoid, who got 10 points for Serguei Ivanov's 8th place. He leapfrogs one person (me, ahem) into 35th overall.

Pretty dismal scoring but at least we managed to avoid the total whitewash we had for Ghent-Wevelgem.

Next race: Tour of Poland (August 2nd - 8th. Starts tomorrow!)

Nice one Victor. Very close between FJS and andyp in classics and GTs, but 1 week tours is where the big difference comes from.
