he is taking the sustrans ride to hornsea as im doing the trans pennine that weekend.

Thats just 30secs away, has it recently changed hands? Cause there was a guy with ging hair used to own it i think, ain't seen him for ages, hence asking.

hey biggus, ...ross, the ginger haired bloke has emigrated to aus or new zealand somewhere. mike has taken over the business. he has been there for a year now.

Ahh, yeah, was it Ross or your dad which converted the place joined onto it into a living place?
  • i run a lot along the b/w`s and paths around there and so i might be able to come up with a route (might have to double back a couple of times to avoid using f/p`s)

first of all let me say" sorry" but i can`t make it now......as i said i`m a newby to mtb and ordered my shiney new bike which arrived a just over a week ago :D:D ....after spending a week trying to set it up i just kept feeling more stretched out on it then when on my road bike......measured it against my roadie and discovered the frame was larger then my trek....checked out the spec on net and found that they had sent me a large and not a medium (a difference of 1.5" ) straight on the phone to said dealer...told them what had happened and that i had ridden it every day and was told "not a problem and replacement bike will be with me in about 5 days" can you ask for better service?......john if you don`t mind riding with a roadie i would like to ride to skidby with you.

    Hi,

I've just posted a topic myself on biking buddies around the hull/hessle area, to be honest i've not had chance to read through all the messages here so i'm not up to speed with what you do, i'm assuming some trail riding/XC stuff?

I'm looking for a group/people who are up for biking over the weekends and maybe one evening a week? I'm into XC/trails/DH, i'm not brilliant but i'll give anything a go. I would say i'm relatively fit at the moment (go to the gym 2/3 a week, play squash and horse ride) so hopefully i'll be able to keep up!

Please let me know what you're about and when you meet up etc and if you're willing for another person to tag along?

    Cheers!

Me, Rory and Gaz are from hessle and your more than welcome to join us, we ride out from hessle upto brantingham and back. Nothing too technical but as hull goes it's about as good as it gets.

I'll be out on Wednesday (might meet up with sl2371 and co) ,Friday, Sunday pending weather.

He he! Least I won't be the only newbie! Looking forward to it now! I spruced up my bike and put it away thinking it wouldn't be used in a while, but it will be soon! So do you guys just stay local or venture else where for a bit of mtb mayhem??

    Thanks Cilla!
