I could do Clent on Thursday or Friday, probably a bit easier to get to than the Wyre for an evening ride.

    Hi All,

Withouth trawling through all 95 pages, are there any pics of the trails/routes in the Wye Forest?

I met with Tony (Monster Mash) yesterday at the Cannock ride. He recommended the Wye Forest as somewhere where I could go riding with Mrs C, who is a very nervous rider. She's okay on fireroads and smooth trails. I'd like her riding to progress, without putting her off completely.

If I'm free on Sunday I'll do the guiding for you. ( my pace though !)

lol...wicked....you kill them! You've already killed off Andy...last ride i saw him on was the Clent ride i did with you!!

Dly you can have a lie in... sounds like we've got it covered one way or another

Proberly stick to doing the Thur Clent ride in the day...as i can scive in the day and might as well make the most of it

Mike...Fri....will have to be about 11ish...but will txt you 1/2hr before if i can make it earlier

El Capitano........there is a facebook page...Wrye forest trails...but not that much information on route at the moment...and don't show her the pictures as there scare her it's not all like that...if she wants to go out with a small group of the Wrye Squealer (the ladies) then pm me and we're arrange a ride. There's another lady that sounds like shes about the same level as her that would make an ideal riding partners for her

7:30 is fine, GT's last ride most likely :(

RE Sunday, working Saturday night ( kinda unpaid so not really ) so won't be back to late, but N.B.S. so we'll see how keen I'm feeling at the time.

El, we'll take it easy on newbies don't worry, Wyre isn't that technical avoid Clent rides with her though for a bit.

    Morning,

Mind if another new person (me!) tags along tomorrow? I left an RSVP on the Facebook invite last night but thought i'd say hello on here aswell.

I have ridden the wyre a few times but always from the button oak side. I’ll have a look later where the Duke is – somewhere along the A456 I presume? I’ll be there just after 7 ish, I drive a silver focus and ride a stumpjumper.

    Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi eddy...will be good to meet you

    the address is

Wyre forest, Callow Hill, Rock, Bewdley, Worcestershire DY14 9XQ‎ and yes it's off the A456... just follow the vistor center signs...don't know the link but if you look on the Wrye forest go ape site...theres a map on there.

The pub is on the opposite side to the Vistors center...he doesn't mind you parking there but you are expected to go in for a drink if you do!

    *** Tony ***

When are you & co free to meet up for a chat about Scotland ? Its thirsty work (chatting) so a pub might be a good idea ;-) I am free most evenings for the next week or so, let me know, cheers

I will try and make it to the Wednesday evening ride. Not sure about this Sunday.

    Thanks Sarah,

I've found the Duke now, I live in Wombourne so it is an easy journey - see you sometime after 7 tomorrow.

I presume i'll need to bring my lights?

What is the general riding like - 10-15 miles of do a bit, have a breather etc?

    Cheers, Marc

Think 8 - 12 miles in the week we normally have a 50/50 ride / chat ratio :)

Thats because your Nuts Mr Groozer, I bet that killed Moggy no wonder he was trying to get me out to :)

The chat ratio increases with better weather and more miles, I like the chat ratio to be greater than 50% unless I'm on my own then I try to keep it below 20% :)

    He loves it!!

Likely hood of splitting into 2 groups is high I'd say, so join and stick with Mick, Andy.

The bike is vaguely assembled, 200parts flying in close enough proximity.

Need to take it out for a burn but I think I like it, handles well, pops the front end up well due to a short rear end ( that only takes 2.2 Tyres ARGGGGHHHH ), pedal performance is HT Like really impressive.
