    Still up for tonight mounty?

    Yes mate, 7pm @ Duke.

I do need to be back home for 9.15pm at the very latest, otherwise I will be shot.... :D
  • SF23 although dunno if it's gone through no e-mail but could be e-mail issues.

Hope it's useable on Medium run both bar lights on medium except for fast bits for stupidly long run times!!

Those 2 280Lumen XP-E torches really do put a good spot of light out there, rideable with 1, but 2 is great, much lighter than a Similar torch + the heavy MC-E and bluer which I prefer on muddy ground and £12 each :)

Figured with 1200lumens+ on tap on the bars aswell I should be setup nicely for the winter season :)

Role on XP-G's being in torches which run well on 18650's hey!!

Gonna stick with MCE and DX bike light on head! Plus 2 x P7 on the bars. Did everything at full day time speed last night and wasn't feeling the need for any more light. And that was without the MCE, and a Aurora with cree R2 in its place for a bit of depth.

SF-15 looks better as its so short, it looks more like a bike light than a torch! And yes the Med modes on those are very good, brighter than the old 5 mode medium.

    Now Back to the rides!

Next week im busy wednesday so will be riding both Tuesday AND Thursday. Both 7pm from the duke. Tuesday till 10pm and Thursday till 9pm. Hope to see a few there.

    Chris
  • I just prefer the better defined spot and not the yellow.

Should be able to do the Tuesday unless I'm going out for Pizza that night!!

Anyone riding Sunday at 10am ?? got to be back for 3pm so my only riding slot then.
  • Turvey / Moggey

Im after a torch to mount on my helmet what do you recommend ??

    Cheers

After seeing the light set up last night, I was going to ask which is the best P7 torch to get.... as there are quite a few different ones...

I am going to order one of the DX's for the helmet, after seeing how good they appear to be...

Any recommendations for the torch, to be used on the bars? :)

Definitely the P7 helmet light version for the helmet.

    For Both of You/ Everyone

For Paul on the Bars, the little one i have got is really good.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.22567

Its good as it has 5 modes this means it has 2 useful modes say 600 and 200 lumens, where a 2 mode will have only 1 useful mode. 600 and 30 (useluss) lumens.

    Then get these batteries

    and this charger

For all lights you will need plug adaptors for us to uk . These are available from asda for £1.50. let me know and ill get you 1-2 each.

  • Used my 2 280lumen torches tonight, although good left for dead by the MC-E on the bars, but I liked the spot and didn't get my headache from my eyes trying to find the hot spot constantly.

Shoulda bought the standard R2 larger Emittor jobs I guess!! ( Off to order a Dropin LOL )

Im surprised you havent got a DX bike light yet dyl?

The hotspot is very good, easily enough power to use it on its own on your helmet. Oh yeah you wont like the tint though.

The Bike light is better for other as its cheaper than getting all the batteries and charger etc. BUT - once you have them you can buy, then sell on at your hearts content. like me! lol
  • Anyone doing the Wyre Forest ride at 10am on Sunday? I'm a 'non-local' visiting relatives this weekend so would like to get out if possible but would really apppreciate the guiding rather than trying to find stuff on my own. Cheers.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!

Sorry, I cant ride the Wyre this Sunday.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!
  • I'll be over there for 9.
    Crashing hard since 94...

Have a good one guys - I'll be out when I'm recovered in a few weeks probably :(

Mick - glad to hear Mrs Mick is on the mend - saw your post on the other forum.
  • Cheers Muddy. Was a bit of a bombshell to say the least..

Anyway, change of plan for me on Sunday, now a 8AM start from the Duke....
    Crashing hard since 94...
  • Okay, getting more confused. Is it a 8am, 9am or 10am start at the Duke? Don't really mind which (8am maybe a bit early) but would like to know what the best time is to meet.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!
  • Straightliner,

    I'll be out @ 8AM with a few others...

But Dylan and Moggy will be out for 10.

    Hey Mick,

If it's OK, I would like to tag along on the 8AM ride tomorrow?

Muddypuddle recommended contacting you, I'm sort of local living outside Ludlow.

Straightliner - there are two groups arranging a ride this Sunday. Mick Arms at 8am and Moggy/Turvey at 10am - both meeting at the Duke William Pub on the left, just past the Visitors Centre on Long Bank. Both groups will welcome you and I can promise a fabulous ride in there with either group. The trails are the best I have seen in the 2 years I have been riding - fast, dry, technical and great fun. Make sure they show you the Secret Garden (best early in the morning cos it's a cheeky trail), Camber and Caravan Run - there are a few surprises in there  Shan't be there myself as I'm injured.
  • ECL, the more the merrier..
    Crashing hard since 94...
  • As I'm coming down from Telford I think it's going to be the 10am session for me. Looking forward to the ride and will see the Moggy/Turvey group then. Cheers for all the help guys, and see a few of you tomorrow. Muddypuddle, get well soon.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!
  • I've ridden past the foresty commisioner on the secret garden he stopped for a chat but no complaints so don't worry, but not many complain to me being a fat/big skin head and all :)

See you in the am, we are the slower group if that helps Mick's abit quick!!

MP, bummer beat up that badly sucks for sure.

Ohhhh my I-drive ( which is ANNOYING me hugely ) might fail, but bringing the tools to convert into a URT Design by over tightening the 1 pivot, tis a cunning and yet stupid plan :)
  • Cheers guys, really enjoyed today with some cracking trails, good guiding and lovely weather. Thanks for looking after me and showing me round, will definitely try and get back over there before too long.

The straighter the line, the faster I go!
  • Any time dude, i really must get fitter though!!

7pm Tuesday, Duke William people bring lights ( can lend you some if needs be ), Me + Moggy so far!!
