Over a year to be fair I think.

been reworked quite heavily in the last 18mth, so may be more up your street now, surprised you dont like the technical in tree stuff, thats my favourite bit, most people i know think the open hillside is the worst section of the dog

The Race King is surprisingly good in all conditions to be fair so far I like the tread pattern on a halfords own make of tyre though for rear use, looks mud capable and fast rolling which will do me nicely. Not till next weekend though skint :(

Race king will be horrible round a wet cannock, mountain king maybe, buy a 2nd hand tyre off egay rather than the Halfords one, tread pattern may be all well and good for mud , but rubber compound will be dire, and thats what gives you the grip on wet hardpack, stones and roots

Moggy parking there gets you some nice XC to get warmed up before the Dog atleast.

Ofcourse I found the lights thread, I am the original strap a cheap hong kong e-bay LED Torch or 4 to my helmet and go out and ride after all :)

Strange the people I know only like the out of the trees bit, it's fast, it's got drops that allow for my level ( small ), it's got nice bends it's a roller coaster ride in short :)

The halfords 1 looked a good tyre, tad weighty due to strong side walls, compound looked good and it should fit my fast rolling all condition requirement, yes I like experimenting with tyres :) And wheel sizes :)

Anyone else coming, the dog with extra's if people feel up to it! Does doing it from marquis drive mean we start on the fast downhill bit!

yes if you only do the dog, though you can go out of the way for a few trails, but not up to much.

extras adds 30mins upwards depending on what you fancy, got a nice natural section thats a bit camber ish over sherbrook valley, or some built techie singletrack, or can do both with a couple of extra climbs. there is a nice trail known as the grail which is a fair bit more technical/DH style but thats another 30mins+ riding.

All gets back to top of the DH on the dog, then do the loop from there and back to the car.

Also there is a loop on the dog taking in a nice DH and back up the fireroad climb (or the tech climb to the side) and over the newer swoopy section at the top of the climb again.

see how we feel on the niight

How come on MP, come on fess up, what's his name ??

Eddyesi, picked up a cheap 2.4 Mountain King, feels so slow on roads compared to the RK, but likely crash less :) HATED the Speed Kings so we'll see!!

Looking like a no on Thursday unless girlie changes the day she wants to go out, woman!!

Lights have already been promised to someone else coming im afraid! And im gonna have 2 bikes as i'll be taking the other halfs bike too. If you can get a lift off someone i'll put something together for you light wise (MGRX-1), might be a bit cumbersome but will do the job!

Weather Report Says should be nice Thursday, best day of the week so no excuses!

Might be able to give you a lift, assuming can def make it, having car issues at the mo

Not sure about lights, fairly confident around cannock so can probably live with one light if your stuck

Tonight, weather looking good so far today!

Got 2 of my mates confirmed im taking one and the other is borrowing my spare bike so must come!

I got some carrots and a few candles (inc bar mounts) for Capt yeti, we'll see just how good his eyes are!

    Everyone set and organised.

Im selling my DX light if anyone is interested! £60 posted, obviously second hand and standard original one from DX no problems with it, will supply charger adaptor too.

PM me if your interested, done since may (first one in the Uk) with mine with no problems whatsoever. Awesome value. No Warranty obviously, but easy enough to fix problem yourself or send to troutie (with beer money) if a biggie! If it was going to go wrong it would of already id expect!
