Monster - Sunday ride is meeting at 10am, Duke WIlliam. Sassy is coming too.

Mick - Thinking about Friday but unlikely so don't wait for me. Did Brown Clee today - 15 miles or so around the perimeter. Lots of moorland tracks, sheep poo, good views and some 5 minute descents with speed :D There's an excellent 2 mile tarmac climb for improving fitness. Doesn't appear to be much singletrack. Finished off with a well built downhill course - something for everyone  Going back in 2 weeks to be shown some more and then hopefully I can find myself round to show other folk.
  • Will try to get there early Saturday morning after dropping my wife at work.

10am not likely, think I'm off to the peaks Sunday.

Brown Clee sounds vaguely interesting be good to do something different occasionally, count me in 1 of the days, use 2 cars though and ferry that 2 mile road bit :)

Not really, but it just feels that way they aren't single track only riders like we hard core riders.

See you around 12, when my eyes start working, morning people!!!

Then off to Sheffield for a evening ride with other mates, then peaks tommorow, I'm sounding like Graham, arrghhhh.

Just came past the Duke William. There is a race marshallstanding on the road and signs up saying "Race Car Park". Not sure what is going on but parking could be difficult this morning.

Will try and park at Duke William. Alternatives are the Visitors Centre at £2 for the day or turn left just before the Visitors Centre (from the direction of Bewdley), signposted Lyehead and Crossbank. Turn off the main road and park on the left.

If we are all parking in different places, I suggest meeting at the Visitors Centre on the bikes ready to go about 10:15am.

Next ride is Tomorrow night over clent starting from Adams hill car park at 7:15.

Will probably be about 2h30 long. Then i'll do a little loop to try out a new light after that.

Myself, MP, Turveyd38 and SassySarah are confirmed, anyone else is more than welcome.

MP - link below to where to get uk li-ion cells

OT im selling my P7-D with 4 cell battery holder light, consisting of a DX-16092, a turboferret 4 x 18650 holder, (in parallel so you can put 1,2,3 or 4 batteries in depending on how much runtime you need), one of my bar mounts and the cable with tamiya clip already set up. beermonsta...

It wasn't too bad at all.......considering all the rain we have had.....I only rode the jedi, garlic run, ankle cracker etc......I stayed on that side of the wyre as I only went out for just over an hour....

Not sure about the camber & caravan...I would imagine its muddy, it pi$$ed it down here for most of yesterday....

Monster, just use a Shaving Adapter or put your own UK plug onto it.

There about £5 from DX Site if you don't mind waiting @10days.

Moggy, Sassy's only getting @40% travel, I can't push it myself much past 70%, reckon the coils are setup for a 18stone+ rider, do you reckon we'd get away with removing 1 of the 2 coils ?? Are they both the same in each leg ???

Reckon that'll get @100% travel, might have to add some preload, no chance of sourcing the correct springs these days I reckon!!

I said last week that i had changed the oil and put heavier weight in as that was all i had, with lighter oil and maybe a little less than the 120cc recommended they should be good.

I'll try and get some new seals too if i can.

The oil will only change the damping not the amount of travel she's getting though, thats entirely based on the strength of the coils so 1 coil not to and be fine.

2Min job to take a coil out so have to try it, worked on a mates RST's years ago which where twin coil and getting @60% travel.

There plush and very active despite the limited travel so not worried about the oil thickness, likely be over active compression wise with 5's.

lads what forks are you on about as oil volume in some forks can affect travel!!
