Hi MonsterZiggy.
I'll be the big old guy on a blue Santa Cruz with a Rohloff rear hub, looks like a single speed at first glance.
I'm starting on shifts at work from Monday, so I may be able to make some of the day time rides.I am a mountain biking god.
Unfortunately, my bike's an atheist.0 -

Must have missed u, the forest was fab!!! & I remembered a few trails as well, hope to meet u another time.0 -
Sorry I couldn't make it and I didn't have a phone number to let you know. Hope you didn't hang around too long waiting for me, but I had a better offer elsewhere.I am a mountain biking god.

Hope it was a good evening, waited long enough to ensure i'll swap numbers next time, lol. Another time maybe.0 -
Hi Sarah,
Went to Wyre today and followed your directions. We found the camber but could not find a wooden cottage, looking for three bears, when going up the concrete road at the end!!!!0 -
shanta, up the concrete road, it turns to loose stone and bends left, keep going up, it bends right, as it levels out and bends slightly left there's a doubletrack on the left heading back towards the ridge along the top of the valley.
Three Bears Cottage is about 200m down that track. Go past the cottage and keep looking for a singletrack turning on the left, that's the Three Bears trail.
Failing that, as you're riding up the stone track after the concrete road, look down to the left and you will see the Three Bears trail running down your side of the valley with Camber on the far side.I am a mountain biking god.
Unfortunately, my bike's an atheist.0 -
Ohhhh 3 Bears is the opposite side of the valley to the Camber/45 which gets really steep and has 1 really steep rocky bit thats hard to walk down.0
-
Its a great little trails, there are 3 different ways to get to it, one is with the cottage in sight and two further down the track. I normally take the middle one then do two right forks to get onto the good bits. Tried to turn inti the drop the other week gray off the track but was going way to fast after that drop and only just managed to wiggle my bars past the tree lol.
Anyone out tonight?0 -
we did go up the stoney track after the concrete road for quite away until we came to open area where they are doing clearance work didn't see any cottage?
That said i think we did find an exit to it but i think we were would haver been riding it arse backwards!
Hoping to go up for another butchers on Sunday about 10/11 if anyone is about.
Anyone up for giving directions to the other trails?0 -
You would of been right by it, if you had looked hard left about 100-150m into the trees you would of seen the hut/cottage.0

Hey MZ i may just take you up on the thursday offer next week, as i cant do Wednesday.
With regards to lights i bought a set of Ay-Up helmet and handlebar lights, highly recommended!! Never had to slow down through the winter and dark nights due to not seeing where i was going! Very light and they always get excellent reviews!
I'm not the climber so i'd have to get details from my friend for you!!0 -
Oh Dyl have you not seen the 2600's for $9.99 they are the ones that get the best review on lightreviews.
And Sku 16501 as its a bit cheaper for the same light!
Jen/MZ had a little glimpse into the world of the torch/light nut last night. Have lent MP my TRC2 and am sorting out a mount for the TR801 for her helmet. Should be a good setup for £40 with 4 Batts. I Dont know if i want to loose the R2 just yet though!
Ay-up are really good but, you do pay a premium and you hear so many horror stories about lipo batteries and radio controlled cars blowing up! Militant Gray also has a set!
See you next thursday, with the ride over and back its a good ride, my legs were burning going back up into kiddy last night.0 -
Missed those, higher Ampage output for a brighter MC-E maybe Need some more batterys will order me some just for the head MC-E then
Cheaper with the attack bezel, strange!!
Next Thursday ?? whats the ride / plan I should be up for that!!0
