Some rain will be good, I was riding Kinver last night which is sandy anyway and had some scarey 30mph+ ( yes really ) moments of drifting around bends :)

Dunno whats happening Sunday, mates wants to ride but got a 2nd group I ride with so waiting on him really, if he's not I'll try to ride you you lot.
  • I've got a couple of friends who may be up for a girly ride.
They are both very much beginners. I've been on short rides with both of them and they would probably appreciate the chance to ride with other women.
Just a suggestion, but how about starting from Button Oak. There's a reasonably level wide stone track leading to the top of the Mile Climb for a warm up and a fair bit of singletrack which is as easy as you want it to be. Fairly wide with no steep climbs. Easy enough if ridden sensibly

Can't make it myself this weekend, racing in Bristol.
Maybe something one evening next week if someone wants to suggest a day.
I am a mountain biking god.
    Unfortunately, my bike's an atheist.

Gave it a miss to, but only cause I'm lazy and off to see Teminator!!

I like riding in mud as long as it's fresh wet mud not sticky poo mud so suites me just fine.

Shanta, I was like that for ages around there just getting totally confused, following behind others won't make you learn it at all, just keep getting lost until you work it out.

Most of my mates follow me and haven't got a clue after 2years where they are, if I fall off and knock myself out no chance they'd get out or find me again!!

Thanks Turvey. Will definately get some of those grips - think they will help enormously.

Shan't be out for the next two Sundays - toughing up on the Rough Ride this Sunday and had a place confirmed in a team for Mountain Mayhem (gulp) the following weekend.

Will be riding in the week to keep my old bones and muscles loose, so give me a shout if anyone fancies going out during the week.

Ohhh They had the Ergo's with little bar ends for 1/2 price on CRC £13 area small Womans size only or something so dunno!!

Moggy, that Fraen Reflector which finally arrived and all the other optics are rubbish sadly, but on the MTE MC-E M3-2, if you remove the reflector cut away at the hole where there LED goes so it pushes down further you can remove the dark spot in the middle :)

Hi monsterziggy - yes, you're very welcome. The guys will look after you.

Militantgraham - like your idea of going to Buttonoak, will do this for a second ride as at the moment I would like to give some ladies an opportunity to ride off road without overfacing them with anything too difficult.

Think I will start a separate post on the girlie ride - keep an eye out on it.

Although we do take out newbie girlies we still take them down the secret garden and watch them fall 10ft and drag them down the 45 sorry Sue !!! :)

Ever stuck me and my mates ride like girlies at the best of times though!!!

S1, Dave wouldn't of done that drop thingy if not for you riding it, even then the bush he hit being too far left, hit his rear brake lever and got him worried LOL
