Have got spare lights but no bar mounts im afraid!

    They have all gone!

If the helmets goodwith open vents, he could try using just the Tr801 as its on a helmet mount!

i have been a bit (read, totally and utterley) slack on the old riding front over the last couple of weeks. i have had quite a bit on but hopefully all should be resolved this week so i should be out riding next week with luck. my light has arrived from dx too now so i'm looking forward to running it and now i can modify my tescos for the helmet (i'll bring some cash for you when we ride next chris). i havent even fixed my bike yet which is really shameful  but i should have a little time over the next couple of days to sort it out from spares(not enjoying the lack of funds unemployment brings).
passed my theory test today so just the practical (and finding a car) standing between me and further afield trail centres in the future and i hope that will be sorted by the end of april.

    peace

Conditions were really good on the whole. Just a few nasty bits. But bearable. I fancy pulling a sickie now to ride again tomorrow. Lol.

5 of us was a good turnout!

Looks like i started my post just before you posted Sean!

Let me know if you want any help modding those lights. Will look like a Ayup light when done, well sort of.

Looks like we have converted Eddy to the torches, i think he was impressed with the light a P7 putsd out.

Clent next week to make it easier travelling for Yeti and Edd (and Gerry), same as the wyre for me and Dan, and if sean can get to mine (by brintons park) i'll take you the rest of the way.

Yeah cheers guys, was a good ride, still rideable everywhere if a little muddy, but enjoyed it, will remember to charge my lights properly this time  thanks to dylan for the loan of the torches 8)

Definately going DX shopping, P7 was great for the cash, need the tips on the modded QR bar bracket too, liked that

Not 100% for next week, but like the sound of clent as its even closer, will keep ya posted

Rain next weekend as I'm off to play in the peaks, it always rains when I'm there :(
  • I only just found this thread, I don't know how I missed it for two months.
Is the 10am at the visitor centre Sunday ride still a regular thing ?
I live near Button Oak and know my way round the forest quite well.
It would be good to meet up with some other mountain bikers for a group ride. I might be able to able to make some weekday evening rides too, depending on what shift I'm on.

    Unfortunately, my bike's an atheist.

Graham, I believe the quick lads ride from the button oak pup at 10am but there QUICK, don't quote me on this though not seen them in ages since they stopped using the Duke pub.

Likely know you, what bike do you ride cause I'm useless on people ?? ( super light Ti build or a Maverick I bet )
  • Black Santa Cruz with a Rohloff hub.
I spoke to Tim at Stourport Specialist Cycles about group rides around the Forest and he thought there was something going on mid-week evenings, but he didn't know where or when.
If someone can confirm either Button Oak or the Visitor Centre for this Sunday, I'll be there.

A few of us usually meet up on Sunday's around 10am at the Duke pub car park. Also mid week, either Weds or Thurs, depends on who is available....riding around Wye, Clent etc..

There is also another group, much faster than us...our pace is kinda steady/slow with a few stops and plenty of chat ;-)
