My thoughts go out to the family of Gats particularly now at this time of year I know he is sadly missed and I know there is nothing that can be said to ease the pain but you can all be certain that there are lots of people from this forum that are thinking of you all....0

I've only just picked up the news. I remember him from the old days. Sorry, really sorry. Hope you are feeling better, but you are probably worse. Just keep turning the pedals and you'll get there eventually ellie.Dan0

I'm newish to this forum and have missed this post until now. I feel bad about this, but I have now read all the posts and have tears streaming down my face. Although I never knew him or took part in any of his posts he sounds as if he was a real character, determined and passionate about cycling who paid the ultimate price. Losing anyone not least a cyclist in the prime of life is devastating. There but for...........go the rest of us. My deepest sympathies to his famliy and close friends.

I've only just seen this terrible news but share the sorrow that others have expressed. He was one of the most dedicated of cyclists and I used to look out for his posts when I was here.
Condolences to his family and friends, he must be greatly missed.

There's a beautiful spot on one of my regular routes where I always stop for a breather. Next time I do I'll take a moment or two and offer up a few words for Gats.
My deepest sympathies for all.
Thought the very same today .
I too will offer a silent prayer when I'm on my favourite trail this evening.
I'm fairly new to the forum, but my heart is heavy with the news.
Sincere condolences, Ellie and Family. x.x.

I'm absolutely shocked. I don't post any more but just had a look in and saw this. I had dealings with Mark, I related to his nutrition problems and tried to help him through it, he was so dedicated to getting that extra bit out of his bike though, you couldn't help admire the bloke.
I know it's late but my thoughts go out to his family.0 -
