I've just checked out next weeks weather forecast for my area. :)

Midweek , at night, they are forecasting temperatures (with wind chill factor) to be ....

MINUS NINE ..... that's ...... -9 c

They are also forecasting snow showers ....... so ....

Normally I would jump in the car :? , but it's poorly on the drive .

So .... it's 2 pair of everything for me ... pants, hats , jackets ,socks .. you get the idea. :(

  • Met says it'll be severely rainy for North West Wales, Cumbria, and Western Scotland tomorrow. Weekend commuters beware.
  • wind chill wind schmill. As long as it's a tail wind then the faster you cycle the warmer it will feel :)

    KMHP you

I'll have you know I climbed a metal lampost to turn the damn light off in nothing but my under-crackers when it was -15!

Coldest Winter on record that year, dropped to -23 in Burton

Then there was the year I got pulled over by the Police for no lights on the bike. I explained that they worked and HAD charged Ni-cads except it was so damn cold they stopped working! Quick proof was shoving them under my armpits to warm up... they worked and the copper said I should walk home... yeah right. I reasonably explained that the roads were white (snow covered) and I was this HUGE black blob visible for miles. He 'let me' ride on the pavement to get home. :?

Remember we're talking the Met Office here. If past forecasts are anything to go on we'll have the hottest end of October ever.

I've got a couple ... they are very good, especially for the ears :)

I've just got home after an 11hr shift , it was p******* it down, blustery, but ... strangely enough I enjoyed it, avoiding the leaf mulch and roadside puddles (ponds).

Even with the crappy weather , I beat the bus home :)

the problem i find with the buff is if you wear one over your face - it seems too tight and restricts breathing... or am I doing something wrong?

I've got a thinsulate neck warmer which acts as a VERY thick buff, and I wear the buff on my head (the lie it over the head and pull over method) to cover my ears.

Works very well, the only bit that it at all cold is the section by my eyes.

Sorry to spoil the flow BUT who turned out the feking lights?!?

It's like full on winter here in Marlborough complete with bizarre hail storm.

Try pulling your 'Buff' further down your face? It must have slipped. Furnarrr.
