Strangely I felt like lighting up after hit the button

Discount warning: may be dangerous too you bank account.

Argh. Must... not... buy... another... Superleggera... jersey

I've just been browsing that sale... really mustn't buy stuff this month saving for the missus' birthday weekend in Brighton! I do need some socks though, the elves seem to have a penchant for cycling socks atm.

@Jon - avenirs are fine - have to say I'm not a huge fan of the ratchet system. But hey, cheap and cheerful!

@ITB - the aerlites were heavily discounted for me by those kind folk at Epic, with good reason too I'd add... and the torque key came from the same place.

Maxima's seatpost has slipped 0.75 cm! No wonder I'm slower...

You can get special grease to stop this happening, without (I understand) freezing the post in the frame.

Have you checked out this Magnus Backsted story?

I am sure if you ask nicely he'd allow you to put nice stickers of coffee beans all over yours as well. Not sure why he is wearing pajamas. Must have been an early shoot.

    I use:

Good link! Yeah, the romper suit is a tad bizarre... He must be a big fellow though - that stem is massive!

According to the nice man at Epic they're sending me some carbon fixing stuff to lock the seatpost in a bit better, and I can use hairspray as a temporary fix until then.

:) It is rather snug. Mostly seen on the embankment conveyor from mortlake to the city.

    I bought a Brooks B17 saddle.
I know these have to be broken in over a number of miles but out of the box (actually it came in a poly bag!), it's the most comfortable saddle I've ever sat on.

I'm really impressed and am now considering getting another for my MTB!

All the parts from the Focus is onto the Cannondale which is to be sold on

You'll have to wait....... should pick it up tonight, it's a fixed road bike, comes with two brakes and guards as it will be the new commuter.....(two brakes and leg braking is needed in these parts - something to do with Warp 9 and drivers not realising bikes can do that)

Not quite sure what the final cost is as I've been speccing it up, and depending upon availability of parts etc - somewhere in the region of a grand.... Also has handbuilt CXP33's on......and it's RED !

I've just ordered a carbon bottle cage for £38 - how stupid is that?! Not even sure it will keep the bottle in place as I bounce around on hardtail MTB. Think I need help! I used to drink and gamble, but this is far worse.

Oh no! I've bought tarty white tyres for the Flyer.

It gets worse, I've also got bar tape to match. Unfortunately my saddle will now be dis-coordinated, so that will have to go next.

    Right,
    I have bought:

a dinky little trek incite wireless computer so I can see exectly how fast I am not going.

Vittoria rubino tyres in white, 23mm and with puncture protection to give me a bit more comfort and reliability.

Nice stuff Brun and Stuey. I also just bought a Cateye computer (£120) - and yes, its for the MTB, because you really need to have heart rate and cadence info available these days. :D And then went and bought the second bike kit (£60) for the commuting / training bike - you can hear me beeping along over Blackfriars Bridge on an evening. I'm starting to feel a bit sick as I type this actually... :( Is there a cure?

Got a Minoura spacebar from those people in Porstmouth as my bars are O/S and all the brackets are STD :( They forgot the sweets/bottle opener again :cry: How much do I need to spend for the freebies?

Next time you order , put a note in the comments box asking for a bag of sweets or bottle opener .

Just tell them you have never had either and you are feeling left out .
