    Look winter hat
    Look shoe bag

Threw out (never used anyway but I remember JeanFrancois Bernard being cool): Look headband

For those annoying 'outbid at last moment' situations can I heartily recommend auctionsniper.com...

Still curious as to how the Norwegian police shirt ends up as a vintage cycling shirt.

    For reference

You should get one of the helmets too.

    Don't like helmets, but thanks!

No idea... I just liked the shirt and it's got pockets like a jersey. Also, I thought it was Danish.

    If the logo is this

    Politi_emblem.jpg

It's Norwegian but the language could be Danish too.

Huh, having searched both, turns out it is indeed Norwegian, I stand corrected!

Actually, I now want some politi shorts... but may be done for 'impersonating a police officer'...

EDIT: A pair of heavily discounted Northwave Aerlite 3 shoes and a torque key...

    Gold star!

Yeah, Jon, I know... these are marginally better than the Mavic ones (which are already green on the heels) as at least a fair bit of the white near the ground is plastic-y and will wipe clean...

All the shoes I like are in stupid colours damn it!

Sorry. Colours will never be mentioned again *hangs head*

How are those Avenirs? My commute boots are on their last legs, if you see what I mean, and the Avenirs are high on the list for when they do pop their clogs.

Never had the SS jersey but still have an original Reynolds windproof LS jersey. It's fairly beat up after a crash but it reminds me of when I started out. It also shows how far clothing has come on technically since the 80s ;)

Someone describing 1996 as "vintage" makes me feel old. :(

As for old(er) jerseys, I'd like one of these. In fact, in Googling for an image, I've found a place that sells exactly that shirt, so I may well buy one. I'd also like one of these.

Thing is, I want the Z jersey partly because I recall Robert Millar riding in it, and the Cafe de Columbia one as I recall Luis Herrera riding in that. Both great climbers and TdF KotM winners; but somewhat ironically, I can't climb for toffee. :( It'd be almost as bad as me wearing a KotM polka-dot jersey. /o\

One of my most vivid (cycling-related) memories from that era was Fabio Parre being blocked from attacking on Alpe d'Huez by the crowds. Felt sorry for him coz he was in great form. Never liked the jersey, though (Kelme)
