Bontrger aero seat post clamp thingy (for trek madones, works for the cervelo too)

This thing is awesome! I had a few doubts about cost etc. and whether it would work with my Cervelo S1 but after a chat with my (excellent) LBS I got this with the clamp and it works like a dream.

It is also very solid and well made. so far highly recommended, although my friend who came for dinner thought it a bit odd that my kitchen was taken up with bike/bike stand and tools.

I've had people respond to me with "ew, bikes in the kitchen, aren't they dirty?"

    "Can be, but it's a wipe-clean floor :)"

"But close to all the food...?"

"Where else do you suggest I stick bikes, in a 1st floor flat with no communal space for them?

Close to the food?! Some people are hygiene crazy. What do we have immune systems for?

I just ordered one of these:

LiT how do you find them lights

just had bike nicked with all lights etc and just want something for new bike for those dull nights but not as a main light source if that makes sense, will get that when i get round to replacing my winter bike

also dont want loads of brackets all over my nice shiny new road bike coming

They're from wiggle - www.wiggle.co.uk - search 'knog' under their brand search, and you'll see the full range.

The rear one (skink) is definitely bright enough to be a main light, the front one is fine for being seen but I doubt it would light your way on a dark road.

Latest additions to my kit- while we're on the subject of lights, a Hope Vision 1 http://www.hopegb.com/voir_visled1.html in preparation for the Friday Night Ride to the Coast in a cuple of weeks (my Cateye EL320 is great for a commute but a bit weedy for the sticks). Hopefully (no pun intended) arriving today or tomorrow. Last week, a Deuter Bike 1 rucksack http://www.deutergb.co.uk/products/all/ ... Bike_I/17/ and I just won a new(ish) SDG BelAir SL saddle on eBay.

XL may be a bit a the large side for you. Castelli stuff does come up small though.

We'll see on the ride home. Fwiw they seem exactly the same waist size as the dhb L shorts I came in with today (can't really tell if the elasticity is different), they are slightly shorter than the dhbs in the leg, and have a thicker pad. They look quality and I reckon they'll be fine. Must try not to lose too much weight :)

Not so much interesting as bizarre - I'm not sure that I know any blokes who would bat an eyelid at a bike in the kitchen. From what little I remember of my bachelor days, any conversation would likely be limited to:

Mate: Dude, why's your bike in the kitchen?
Me: Coz my tent's drying in the bathroom.
    Mate: Oh, OK. Beer?

Women, heh? (present company excepted, of course!)

as for the finding them coment i meant if they are any good, id already found them on wiggle lol

think will get myself some, not really going to be used to light up a dark road and also when i start needing decent lights i want to stop using road bike and get winter bike out to get to and from work so it will give me the indication to stop using road bike at the right time lol

    thanks again

Yes I'm keeping it and donating my Madone to the GF. I don't think that's too unfair.

Yeah, I know, I know... blasted things. :D All the comfy ones seem to be in white, all the black ones seem to have swathes of red on them, which clearly won't match my bike!

Surely the person who's sense of fairness matters here is your GF's?

    Anyhoo, whatcha speccing it with?
