  • Dream job: Joke technician at the Little & Large Hadron Collider

    Real job: design engineer.

Love seeing my babies going through the factory and shipping to lucky (?) customers..! The boss is an engineer too which is a bonus. All in all, mustn't grumble.

My course is currently called 'Communications and Computer Systems Engineering' (the department likes to rename anything they can), but it's basically Computing and Electronics. Should earn myself a piece of paper by the end of the summer!

I'm currently a producer for a footage archive, I get to play with lots of old film and make new content from it. I also used to make visuals for bands etc but haven't done that for a while.
Sort of thinking of using my science degree and going into teaching but undecided as yet.

OK - more detail - I produce geo hazard maps - current project relates to interpretation of aerial photos and gravity readings of volcanoes in the Kamchatka peninsula over the last 10 years to verify and map slope stability - any questions?

I believe that there are documented cases of people using dummies in the passenger seat to use HOV lanes in the States. So I'm thinking - child pannier seat/cabbage patch doll. No one would know that I was riding a single occupancy vehicle.

Hi Biondino - you can have the job when I've finished with it OK :) - I actually don't get out in the field much these days since improvements in aerial photography so I've never been to Kamchatka - did my thesis in mid Wales many years ago - very wet

Not my job exactly (well not at all), but this chap has an impressive line of work to commute to :) He was in Cheltenham town centre today.

I was quite taken with his Birdy, with full Ortleib panniers and a trailer for the amp:
