What job do you commute to?

After having seen so many posts from people, and realising the one thing in common we all have is that we cycle to work, I am fascinated by what you all do for a living....

I'll start...

I am a secondary school teacher (languages). The street cred I lose for parading through school at the start of the day in my kit and looking a bit hot and sweaty is (I think at least) made up for by the fact it is quite a long way, and I have a very nice bike. Or they are all laughing at me behind me back. Frankly I don't care anymore.
Emerging from under a big black cloud. All help welcome

    I'm a yachting photographer

But I only commute into the office by bike. Cycling round the world with lots of cameras and waterproof clothing really isn't an option :D

I have a very nice picture of a Beneteau 375 under spinnaker on my wall at home, another of Bellavitsa. The former was taken by Beken. There are few others floating round too - one of Yeoman series, and a few others from Cowes Week.

I do 3D modelling and associated graphically orientated nonsense for Passion Pictures. Had a hand in a lot of that stuff on the website, particularly the Rock Band and Guitar Hero ads.

Consider meself rather fortunate in the grand scheme of things.

    What sort of science?

For example, can you tell me how long it takes before a wind turbine overcomes the carbon footprint of making it?

Or is it more "I don't think its wise to splice pig genes into maize" advice?

I was wondering this because so many of you post during the day I imagined that you were mostly men and ladies of leisure - although how you would commute in that case...

Voluntary work for a local charity, keeps me busy and with it. If I didn't do this I'd go stir crazy sat in front of the TV/PC all day.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Tattooist. I roll into the studio at about 11 so get a good ride in the morning - I also take Mondays off so get to take advantage of quiet roads during the day.

Yeah, I shouldn't. I had a cold this week and had a couple of days off, then was on a roll!

~I just get this urge to either be controversial, obnoxious or helpful and see who gets back to me. Its addictive. Bad cycling.

    Fantastic shot.

Yes. Rainbow Dreamer c.1986 I think. My father was on it and he's flying the kite. The year before, he was on the Velsheda, in the Fastnet, the same year Drum went over. Very hairy. It was blowing a nine and the main got stuck, so they turned back.
